YES that was me!!! :banana I'm SO glad you decided to visit this site! I haven't posted in quite a long time... life keeps me busy. :cross-eye And yes... I am taking a trip so I refuse to "fill" me to the rim right now. I should attend Dr. Jays meetings more then I would know alot more people but I don't I'm working on it though! Do you have anyone you talk to? I know there are not alot of men in the group so sometimes it might be intimidating... but I want you to know that you can feel free to ask me anything if you'd like... I'm kinda the rebble in the group :guess if I can't eat it... I will figure out a way how :bored I know... it's so wrong... I'm worken on that too :bored So how long have you been banded??? I don't know about many of you out there but I have not considered myself "beautiful" in a long time. But today I was at work riding in the back of a Constable's car (police car). I was not in trouble or anything like that , but for anyone who knows better, the back door only opens from the outside. Well the constable forgot to let me out at my office and I made a joke saying I would ride with him all day if he wanted me to. He apologized as he got out then opened my door for me and he resonded saying " I'm sorry, it's not every day I have a beautiful lady in the car" If I never thought I have lost much weight or walked more proudly or had a little more self confidence in my eyes.... it hit me straight in the heart today... and I felt beautiful too.... Not that weight measures beauty by far.... but for me, to hear that... feels amazing! I hope you all feel as beautiful as I do...because you most certainly are! Much success to you all!!

Like Vera, I too had heart burn ALL the time. My tums bottle was my best friend..took it everywhere with me. I also had an upper GI before surgery to see if I was ok. The test came out fine I guess, but after having the surgery in March, I think I have opened my tums bottle 2-3 times, popped one or two tums and then I was fine. Now when I feel like I'm going to have heart burn, it comes out a burp...not that awful feeling and I'm amazed. Everything happens for a reason though.... and I find your outlook amazing! :::::::::: HUGS AND LOVES::::::: Michelle~

:nervous Water.... Well Leo... why didn't you tell me this like 2 weeks ago before I had my gall bladder taken out.... I could have used what you said the whole time and maybe today I would have it. :mad: Actually... I will refer back to you post.... that was quite a good one. I thought I was doing ok by drinking tea... flavored water... or kool aid....flavored water. I mean... it's water isn't it. :ermm But no I was wrong.... LISTEN TO LEO..... he is SO RIGHT.... :think My friend said to me in ways I could relate.... :straight She said... Michelle, would you wash your dishes in tea???? Would they get clean...even though there IS water in tea...would you clean your windows with it.....noooooo. I was banded on March 26, 2004! I have to give a HUG to my Doctor.... Love you Dr. Jayseelan!!! I am so thankful that I found this site! I have had so many questions and concerns and reading each topic has helped me alot! I feel like I am losing weight slower then everyone else though. Since my surgery I have lost about 14lbs. Am I doing something wrong? :straight Don't get me wrong... 14lbs has been wonderful...I had to get off and on the scale a few times to make sure it wasn't lying! I think I wish I could just lose faster. I am so proud of each and every person in here though. It makes me feel better to know I am not alone. Maybe when I get my first fill I'll see better results. Thanks for all the great advice!! Michelle~

Dr. J's next support group is Monday May 3 at 7pm. It is in building A in the cafeteria I think.... let me get back to you on that one.... I haven't been to one yet but just got a invite to it. I was supposed to get my fill June 7 but I think I whined my way to May 17! I'm SO excited! Ok and I didn't like whine to get my way but gosh... I have had soo much go wrong with me lately. :think I got banded March 26, two weeks later, Easter weekend, I woke up and couldn't breathe with TERRRIBLE pains under my top incision..so I called Dr. J. He sent me to the ER and that same night he operated on me and took out my gall bladder!!! :phanvan AND THEN! :confused: my incisions got irritated by the butterfly strips AND THEN I just got some sort of allergic reaction to an allergy thing and I have never had any allergies in all my life! :mad: So this allergic reaction made my whole mouth look like I just got implants in my lips!! Like 5 sizes bigger then normal! NOW I have to take steroids for I think 2 days more to make it all go away. So my point to all that was my other doctor said the steriods would probably make me gain weight... just what I want! So that is why I cryed to my Dr. J so he would have pity on me... I think it worked. :confused: Oh but in all seriousness.... I feel like I have been tore up this past month. My body is tired.. I don't want to smell another hospital in a LONG time!! :confused: Any one else have so much trouble?? I got scared thinking maybe my body was reacting badly to the band or maybe my body didn't agree with anyone invading my body :think now I have lost my gall bladder and I have big lips... what can I do... When I look all sleek and sexy..... ok...ok.... cute and adorable.... I will look back on ALL this and Lova ya! Michelle~

I KNEW I would spell his name wrong...:mad: Well... that's me for you.... Dr. Jay is so wonderful....he also took out my gall bladder 2 weeks after the lapband surgery. I don't know whether I should or :think But he has always been so nice and is very caring and sincere. I know you will feel comfortable. Tell him Michelle says hello... He will also know me as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum (tweedle Dum is my friend who also got banded with me....it's not the other way around I swear) Michelle~:straight

I live in Dallas and I was also banded by Dr. Jay!! Oh I just LOVE him! My friend and I were banded on the same day and we plan to attend the next support group. I go in for my first fill June 1, 2004. Maybe I will see some of you one day! We can become Band Buddies!!
