Today I was only able to drink about 60 oz of water/powerade. I had no appetite whatsoever due to nausea. So I focused on staying hydrated.

I was also banded yesterday. Gas pains are horrific. I'm very nauseated. Lucky to just get some fluids down. Did anyone else go through this? I have no appetite whatsoever. Going to try to get down the chicken soup protein but not sure I can. I don't want to vomit. I'm trying to get powerade zero down. I haven't thrown anything up. I came home 2 hrs after my surgery was over.

Tomorrow is the big day. I'm nervous and excited.

I have phenergan to take for the nausea. I was nauseated coming out of surgery as well when I ate the ice chips and they gave me both zofran and phenergan. Hopefully in time the nausea will calm down. I haven't been able to "eat" much today, mostly trying to sip water, had a popsicle and just trying to stay as hydrated as possible.

Everything went well. I had a hiatal hernia which the surgeon repaired. I'm home and as everyone warned, the gas pains suck!

Just curious what some of you are mixing the unflavored Protein with? I need ideas for protein mixes as I can't really handle just drinking chocolate or vanilla shakes. I do better with mixing. So any ideas would be appreciated. I did get the chicken flavor and I'm going to try that since I'm a savory person. Also I got the Protein'd cheese but I find it to be nasty. It had such great reviews and I don't like it at all. Most likely going to return it.

I'm pre-surgery. Guess I should have said that in my original post. My surgery is next Wednesday Feb 6. I can't wait until I can have smoothies with fruit Chez! I love all your posts by the way they are so encouraging. I think I'm going to end up sending the cheese back. I put the unflavored in tomato soup tonight and it was ok. I think it just needs to be added in strong flavored items.

This is day 6 of pre op diet for me, it hasn't been so bad. Good luck to you.

All of my pre op testing was done today. One more week until I'm banded. I went and got everything at the store today that I'll need. I am ready. 7 days and counting!!!

I made it through but my belly is talking to me!!! It keeps growling. I know this is going to keep me awake . What are some tricks to get past this? I can't keep sucking on Popsicles. Tried that!

I wish I could chew gum as I know that would help. But I suffer from occipital neuralgia headaches and migraine headaches both and chewing makes headaches worse. Today I haven't been as hungry. I have been thirsty. So been drinking a lot of water and powerade zero. The Protein'd cheese smell really turned my stomach. Has anyone else had this issue? Everyone else seems to love it.

My surgery is Feb 6th. I have a 10 day full liquid diet.

I finally got a date. Was hoping for Jan, but it's February 6th. Nervousness set in now that I have a date.

I'm going through same thing. I got my approval letter last week. The hospital/surgeon office told me that patient always gets letter first. I'm in waiting mode and frustrated :-/

I'm on 400mg of topamax a day and it hasn't affected my weight either. Sure wish it would!! I take it for headaches as well. I take 200mg in morning and 200mg at bedtime.

Thanks. I was looking at theirs. I'm going to order some of the cheese sauce I think. I ordered the chicken and unflavored protein. And am going to try the fuzzy navel syntrax nectar. I just got my approval letter so I'm hoping my surgery date will be soon. Just waiting to be scheduled. I have completed everything. Excited and nervous at same time!

Where did you get your chewable multiple-vitamin? Any suggestions? My dr said no gummies. Also I just got the twin lab chewable calcium citrate and they are really sour. Anyone have suggestions on those?

I got my approval letter today from Insurance . Hopefully I will get my surgery date tomorrow. I'm hoping I will be a January bandster. My dr requires a full liquid diet for 10 days so it's going to be close. Getting nervous now.

I meet with surgeon on Jan 4th for my clearance appt. my last class is on the 7th and then they submit everything to insurance and will set my date for surgery. I should be late Jan, early Feb.
