    I had a dream

I'm new to this site. I'm getting excited and nervous because I've completed my 6 months requirement for BCBS. Waiting for my paperwork to come from the nutritionist and referral to BCBS for the surgeon. Does anyone know how long it takes? Anxiously waiting... Mz. Bunny

    Any Chicago sleevers

Hello everyone, I'm new to this site. I live in Richton Park. I just completed my 6 months with the nutritionist as BCBS requirements. I've met with my primary physician and notified him of my completion. Just waiting for my referral to the BCBS, then I hope and pray for the results of meeting with surgeon. I hope this process is not like the first 6 months. Mz. Bunny

    New here!

Welcome I am new here too. Yes we have an incredible adventure ahead of us but I believe and in fact know that life is going to get better! We are going to have and deserve to be happy. You have a long way to go due to having young children. They need their Mom to be at her best, emotionally, financially, but most of all healthy. It is never too late. Do your research like I am doing and we will be fine. Take Care.
  5. Do you really have to go through 6 months before your doctor can submit the referral?
  6. This is my first visit to this website. It was recommended to me by my friend Freda Coleman. She has gone through the process and she is helping me as I begin the journey into weight loss. I started this year weighing 346lbs. As of today, I weigh 297lbs. Yes I was successful in losing weight independently, but I feel that I am at a standstill and I need assistance in reaching my goal. My family history is of many in in African-American community, hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, stroke and heart conditions. Not that I want to live with these ailments, but I dislike needles. I have watched for many years my mother and grandmother inject themselves with insulin to control their diabetes. I DO NOT WANT THAT FOR ME!!! So at the ripe young age of 50, I want to make the necessary and positive changes to my life. I am glad this blog is here, because I will feel the need to use it as a forum to express my successes and possible failures through this adventure. I am again glad to be here and I expect and hope to learn more about this process and me.
