Even if the person isn't lying... It's 700 people at most her two sites have 1400 people that's 1400 out of how many??? Probably a million .. The band works if u work w it don't think with any of these that u can continue to eat what u have! We got these surgeries because have trouble keeping weight off at risk or have diabetes high blood pressure etc. if your on this site to just bash the band get off! We're are all here for support sorry ur band didn't work for or with u but we are here as a group with bands that WORK because we work with the band....

First congrats on ur baby boys!!! Second, I am 26 and was just banded on January 28th. I have heard that Lapband is slowly being fazed out to the sleeve. Ill be honest with u when the first this I tell I is although I did this surgery for me, my family and friends were super concerned w me having the sleeve. I know more people with Lapband, its not as invasive, need be it is reversible, etc. Even without the opinions of those who love me ( and I do know people who are super successful with sleeve), the Lapband was more for me. I spoke w my surgeon who said I could do either but to me the band is adjustable, not as invasive, and best of all for me a behavioral tool. I didn't want to simply lose the weight, I wanted to know that I lost weight eating correct portions and feeling well truth be told if not I would continue eating crap. As I said before I am new to banding, I want to lose 100 pounds. I chose the band because I wanted a tool ( a slap on the wrist) when I over ate or an unpleasant feeling if I ate something that didnt agree with me). To me the band will work w me and ill know its there. Good luck and congrats again any choice you make is right because it will only add years to your wonderful life:)

I wish I was on creamy liquids! But it's only a short time considering the time i took to gain weight! I'm hungry through:( I've been hungry every 3 hours

Doing well Monday marks my first week of being banded!! Only complaint I'm a bit hungry as my doctor has me on protein shakes after a week of clear liquids

I have a bad case of the hiccups. I get nervous that they will screw the band up like making it slip or dislodge.. Is that possible?

I'm sorry to ask so many questions, however, it is normal to be it by where the incisions are!? I've got gauze over my 4 wounds 1 being my port but the incisions are itchy. Each spot has staples too so I'm trying to be careful if I need to itch:)

Hi everyone I was banded on Monday and have only had clear liquids. I'm at a point where I'm sorta hungry. This afternoon I had about 2/3 or sf ff jello. But all I want right now is something of substance! I know I need to just keep strong and the will power is why I got this surgery because I have it, but does or did anyone else feel this way?

Thnx b 52 yes I was showed that chart I was just banded Monday and have 5ccs already but I'm on clear liquids till tomorrow It's not even that I'm hungry it's like I want something of substance like tomato soup! Well tomorrow I get protein shakes hurray!!!!

Hi all! I had my surgery Monday and am im feeling good. I'm still sore and take pain meds to help me get comfortable I took milk of magnesia this am so today is the first day of bowl movement (sorry if tmi). I'm getting my liquids in but occasionally do feel gassy

Ur so lucky I'm still on clear liquids and I can't wait to move to full solids!!! Ugh just to have thickness of full liquids:)

I was filled to 5ccs during surgery I'm very careful about fluid intake I measure everything even soup I'm only on clear liquids too but I can't believe I have 4 oz of soup I'm satisfied take a nap wake up drink more... What happened with you?

I was banded on Monday.... I felt very nauseous this am is that normal?

Don't worry! I was banded Monday and the time flies!!! I know it's disheartening but remember how important it is for ur body to be 100% health so u don't have any complications! The 6th is my post op appointment so it will be here for both of us before you know it! Good luck!!!

Tomorrow I will be on "the other side" of being a bandster. I can't believe the day is here. Of course I have lots of nerves about this but am so excited at the same time I can't wait to be on the other side!!!! Hurrayyyyyy 930 surgery!!!!!!

I'm home as of 6pm last night I have incision pain especially the port and I'm pretty sure gas pains are here today! All and all I'm so happy I did this and to begin my new life on the other side of bandsterhood!! I'm sure ill have so many questions so thank you all in advance for all your support!!

Home and banded!!! I had my surgery at 12 pm got home at 6 pm i think I'm starting to feel gas pains so I'm trying to walk but like to sleep<3 thanks everyone for all ur support!!

Thnx I'm nervous!! Question sorry if its silly but what is a typical weight loss per month following doctors orders? I'm getting married in August and I'm trying to estimate seeing dress size and so forth

Dr. Rivera in new city ... Does the pain have anything to do with weight? I'm worried about not using my abdomin like how do I stand up or use the bathroom?
