Just curious: are any of you blogging or video blogging your journey? I have seen quite a few video blogs on YouTube and I was just wondering if any of you were up there.

Also, I just want to say that it is really good to have somewhere to go to share what I am going through. It's one thing to research and read articles on what to expect but knowing that we are all making this journey together is comforting. My husband laughs because for the last three days, the first thing I do in the morning is see what new posts have been added to the forum. LOL.

Good morning everyone! I am doing pretty good this morning. I felt sick last night. I think I drank too much water at one time. I have not started creamy soups yet. I am having a hard enough time getting in the recommended protein amount. I have swallowed a Biotin pill. It went down fine. No BM just yet. I have been doing a bit of walking around the house and the gas pain is almost gone. I feel better when I am sitting up rather than laying down. I am sleeping on my side, not what I am used to, so I wake up a little stuff but once I get moving I am fine.

Yet another difference in surgeons. I did not receive antibiotic. Are you on antibiotics because of the surgery?

Japandii put up a post saying she was being banded tomorrow. It's under the pre-op section. IP9 posted a day-to-day of her progress on that thread and she gave a lot of good information, including when she was finally able to go to the bathroom. You may want to look at that thread. It is interesting to read about everyone's journey. I am seeing so many differences between us. From pre-op diets to post-op diets it seems like each surgeon and nutritionist has their own take on how to be successful the first few weeks out. I was banded on the 19th and I can start creamy Soups and Protein shakes today. I really don't want anything. I am having to force liquids down.

I was banded yesterday and I wore some comfy, elastic waist pants. I was glad I wore them. I felt bigger after the procedure.

I had a few family members who were not pleased with my decision. The only person who mattered was my mom. Once I sat down with her and explained the procedure and told her about how I felt at my current weight she lightened up. She is still not completely happy but she is on board now. Everyone else... Doesn't matter what they think. As long as you are happy! That is what matters. I was going to do this with/without my mom. This is for me like your surgery is for u. You have a forum family.

I was banded yesterday and I have been in and out of sleep a LOT! When I wake up I have to remind myself that I was banded. Then I freak out about the foreign object. Does that make sense?

Doing good. I have the same shoulder pain, too. Trying to get liquids down but I really don't want anything. The first few days are the hardest. We will get to the other side soon. How long are you on eating restriction after surgery?

I signed up for Heads up back in February and I dint get a call until October. I had forgotten about it and since then it has been crazy. I have everything you have but I didn't order the bariatric vitamins. I did a lot of research in these last two months to get prepared. The video blogs on YouTube helped. I go back to Dr. B on the 9th too. My appt is at 1245. Was he the closest Dr to you? A lady I met through the Pennington sessions is having surgery in Shreveport on the 27th. We do not have kids yet. Just a dog. Hopefully this tool will help us and we will get there soon enough.

Not a camaro!!! LOL I completely understand. You probably did lose on the way home. I did get the GNC Isopure I have to force myself to drink anything. I am doing a lot of sleeping. I have a 'pillow fort' built in the bed. I did not get Dr. B's pack because I didn't meet with the nutritionist until Monday. I found out my surgery date last week and was banded this week. I am a part of a study with OGB and it has been a whirlwind. How old are your kids? They should take over all of your post-op goodies: vitamins and protein shakes.

I bet that three hour drive was rough. Luckily you made it with no prob. My husband said he was told Dr. Bellanger had two back to back and he assumed it was you because we were the only ones there. I lost around 26 pounds before the surgery. Yesterday was rough my throat really bothered me and I can't cough up this mucus because it hurts to cough. I can't get many liquids in either. I looked at the hospital nutrition plan yesterday and laughed. There was no way I was gonna get 60 grams of protein down. I can say this though. I have never been so appreciative of the recliner. As hours passed I felt better and better.

I was wearing pink. I admit I was nervous and very sick to the stomach. I did not think you were there to be banded honestly.

Dr. Bellanger performed the surgery in Gonzales this morning.

I am Louisiana and I am being banded tomorrow. Nice to see more southerners on here!
