I chose the vertical sleeve because I didn't want the dumping syndrome. Some studies show that Vsg eliminate the portion of the hormone that produces hunger. But research it for your self. I did not want a foreign body in me. Or the maintenance of the lap band. I watched many you tube video before coming to this forum. I m happy with the choice of Vsg. Good luck.

I like what some one said about this process. It's like a full time job in itself. I understand you completely, i been in it since June. I have my second Nut visit, pre op class same day. , and then I'll see my Surgeon next week. So, this all can be challenging at times. but, your on the right track. You are worth it. Hard work pays off. After all this effort, you will Rock your sleeve. Keep pro active with it. Good luck. -

Keep your head up. You are not alone. My Bmi is 43 I have migraine headaches, and osteoarthritis. I'm also concerned that as I loose weight before surgery with no co morbidities like htn or diabetes that I could face those same challenges of getting approval the first time. But, I want the surgery enough to try hard. It's worth it. I'm worth every bit of the effort it takes to get healthier. And so are you. Blessings -
