    Approved but now NOT SURE

I have 5 kids and I would like to be more active and participate more and no just be a spectator. I know if I don't have this surgery my current health could worsen. I have a BMI of 43 and I am in active other than work and going to games. Even when I go to my kids games I'm in pain. I have pain in a daily basis! I want to see my future grand kids and not be in good shape when they come. My aunt died of diabetes related disease. I don't want to die like that. As I get older I'm seeing health issues pop an I'm at risk for diabetes, high blood pressure, and I . want to just avoid them. I want to feel better, be active then look better. Wear Victoria secret clothes. Nice heels. Just look and feel Pretty on the outside too. Can't wait finally go for a job I really want. A job is available now that involve being fit and running I'm over qualified skills wise but afraid ill be turned down because of my weight! I am not living the sport filled life or with the vacations that I want. I'm simply a couch potato at times and I'm tired of that. I want to be a better example for my kids. You have your on reasons, and for those reason You can do it!

    Beginning stages

I am too looking at March for a possible surgery date! I am in a 6 month program requiring 4 consecutive month pre op classes then pre op testing before surgery. I plan to do some toning and factor in weight lifting, and Protein Rich food, Vitamin E , skin brush to exfoliate when I can to combat sagging skin. And hydration. This certainly a journey a worth while. Happy Journey and Good luck!

    Massive headache

I suffer From Migraines. I suggest hydrate. Hydrate! I finding drinking water helps a lot. I hated water though. It's my friend now. I give my son coconut water after sports for his. I was recently sick and water with sea salt 1 tsp per bottle helped. Made a Gatorade like drink. But caution that check with your physician about using salt/ if blood pressure issues etc. I works for me.
  8. Good question! My Nut put me on a low calorie diet while I'm the program. I will have my second visit and will ask a about pre op diet before the surgery. Good luck all!

    Planar Fasiitis

Plantar fasciitis (PF) is a painful inflammatory process of the plantar fascia, the connective tissue on the sole (bottom surface) of the foot. It is often caused by overuse of the plantar fascia or arch tendon of the foot. I had this problem 10 years ago. It's an inflammatory process ask your physician if you can take or you have started on Something like Motrin. For pain and inflammation. This was soo painful. I was given Motrin and it eventually went away, never came back since. Your podiatrist will help you too. Good luck!

    Keeping Surgery A Secret.....

Good topic! Told my DHubby, my 3 sons, 1 family who had Gastric bypass surgery. We have the same Surgeon. I recently told a close friend who came into town the other day. She was the 2nd most understandable person of the bunch. Wow, she surprised me. She and I lost weight together in the past she kept hers off I only got pregnant. Lol then keep the weight plus more. She was 100% supportive and identified with me because she had the similar issues before her weight loss. I was ready for "you lost weight before speech". I got none of that. I even got into pictures of the a Vsg surgery ! Wow My mom was not supportive. So i told her i was having a procedure . She will worry the stuff out of others and they will call me. I'm not ready for that.
