Ballermom replied to LittleRed30's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm in hoping to get to 199 by July 4. That Doc program is over the top. Awesome. -
At 3 weeks out I had crying spells. I was easily angry at things before by 1 week out . Most of it lasted a short time. But I say it is normal with all the changes and adjustments. Each day gets far better than the last day. Some of it is the Anesthesia, medication, withdrawal, fatigue and dehydration contributes to it. If you think you need to then talk to a counselor But many of us has experienced this.

How will this be different?
Ballermom replied to HatheryOnHerWay's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
First it is great that you are deciding to get the VSG done. But the VSG is not a diet to be compared to medifast. It's a tool and a Lifestyle change. With the lost of a large portion of your stomach you cant just switch back to eating the same foods over night like you can with quick diets, as In yo-yo dieting. Which is what brought many of us to this point. The good news is that with this new tool. Some people even loose their craving and appetite for those unhealthy foods at times. It takes very little to fill you up. So goals are obtainable. Many diets are high in sugary anyhow. This is not a temporary fix but one that can make you proud and Happy alone the way. It's all about a better you. Almost 8 weeks out down 40 lbs. I love my sleeve. -

No drinking 30 minutes before or after meals?
Ballermom replied to nessieberry's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
1 word Painful . It's painful to drink and eat at the same time. I have forgotten 1 time too many. I have not had a craving for Soda. It's enough to get water and protein in. I wouldn't waste my daily carbs on soda (empty calories) that will probably make me sick. This is just my Opinion. -
Not everyone but I wear a wig anyhow.

My hair is thinning at the top 7.5 weeks out. Today I'm in a 12/14 top 16/18 pant great! I was a 3x but my arms are still big.

Well they would been able to pay for the drivers and workers salary off of me alone. But thanks to my new sleeve Not! Honestly It should be a Ban on them delivering by people pushing healthy foods especially for children.
-
Woohoo! Way to go. Cabinet wait to join you in such a wonderful mile stone. Congrats.
-
Today I went shopping and got a 12/14 top and 16/18 pants sweat clothes. I was previously in a 3x!!!! That's Wild. Loving my sleeve.

Ballermom replied to SqueakyWheel&Ethyl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sent home with Prilosec and was able to take my vitamin D since day 5. Now I also take other vitamins with absolutely no problems. I have not taken my Celebrex for my knee arthritis since before surgery to my surprise i have not needed them. -
