Ballermom replied to greygirl903's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on 12/27 and I was off work for back issue before unexpectedly. So I never told work. Now with the more weight I loss each day some one is asking me what did I do to loose weight. Usually the protein shakes and exercise works. But the other day some one commented that the weight loss was fast. I on the other hand felt like a slow looser. I love my sleeve. But I never told people at work. For several reasons. So it's your body your decision. You don't have to feel obligated to tell. -

Ballermom replied to KanesMom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get a lot of comments at times about my weight loss. But, I'm not ready to tell work folks yet. I did share my weight loss story with a stranger and truly enjoyed telling them. This person needed to know and was very interested. I don't Mind sharing to help others. But not ready to just tell work just because. -

Had it to Do it again I'd only tell people who need to know those include and especially the stranger I met last week who was grateful that I shared my sleeve testimony to. Had a wonderful Hubby and older sons who took wonderful care of me. It was a great experience. -

Ballermom replied to takingbackcontrol's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First I understand how you feel. Many of us can testify that we went through the same stage. I was mad for about two weeks with tears. I fussed at my entire family. It gets way better. But Yes he does need to be more helpful. Maybe some one else can help. In the beginning some do need to be there. And call your physician immediately if you feel sick like chest pain Short of Breath fever or seem like something is not right. We are here for you too and will be more than helpful. Wishing you the best of Luck Ballermom -

Inspirational! Enjoyed your story. Love it. It is a light at the end of this tunnel/Journey. Lol Very positive. 3.5 months out starting to see real positive things too. From a 22/24 to a 14. Loving my sleeve. Thanks for sharing. -
Honestly, who has had zero problems
Ballermom replied to sparker's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
3 plus months out no problems at all. 1 bout of nausea early on brought my own cause. 54 pounds down. I don't tolerate greasy or sugary foods. That works out for me cause i don't need those anyhow. I have not been sick . I just sweat from sugar , i take it as reminder, no sugar and a caution! I got in this to eat healthy anyhow. From a 22/24 to a 14 I'm happy. No Regrets! -
regreting this whole thing
Ballermom replied to ********'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
On the subject of baggy clothes. I feel much better when I wear fitted clothes. I was loosing inches not pounds noticeably to others. I bought a size 14 pants. Wow it fit! Yay I started at a 22/24. So needless to say. I felt way better about my self in fitted clothes. My self esteem just shot up too. When the scale stalls your sleeve is still working if you work it. Ballermom replied to SerendipityHappens's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi I think I'm a slow looser but I figure if I can keep loosing it will be fine. I'm sticking with it as oppose to a fad diet quick weight loss and then you know binge eating. Not any more. HW 267 SW 260 Today 213 Total 54 but my Nut go by surgery day weight 47 in 3/12 months. So today I'm kicking up the Water and Protein Started back on my fitness pal 1 week logging Any suggestions? -
What can't you eat, that you used to be able to.
Ballermom replied to SEATTLEsportsFAN's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't crave bread at all. No pasta of any kind. I just focus on eating protein foods. I'm sugar intolerant as well. It getting better. I too would get dizzy sweaty and ended up sitting for hours waiting on that feeling to pass. Now I just sweat. Some foods do get stuck like a dry hamburger A chicken wing but if that happens I stay clear of Foods that don't agree with me. The good news is I don't really miss them anyhow! -
