Yea, Today I started back on my favorite shakes. I have been off them for a while. I know it so back to basics I'm going. This is only my opinion and I direct this at my self only. I'm too hoping to get back on track. Soon to be 1 year out. From a 22/24 To a 8/10. Im Celebrating. My blood pressure was 170/100 was in the E.R. for it , now it's 100/70. I'm Celebrating. Name things you can Celebrate too. It takes the focus off the scale. I understand how you feel. I congratulate you on your progress.

I talk to some one right before they wheeled me into surgery , who was supposed to be that important to me. And i wouldnt have predicted but, the next time I talk to them again was 9 months Later. I didn't even get a well being, congratulations, are you ok check. What I learned was I didn't need them as much as I thought. Because in the meantine i was too busy getting skinny, anyway. Call it pay back.lol Ironically when we did get together we still had a wonderful time. You are strong by mere fact of being on this Journey. I also learned to spend time around the ones who Celebrate me a and not just Tolerate me. You can do it. -

How did you handle telling everyone about your surgery
Ballermom replied to vincereautmori's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Wow! I'm in awe of you. I wished I had your courage. Because some of the people I told were unsupportive and till this day the relationships has changed or maybe i just got thinner. Lol However, I told my husband and yes he was concerned in the beginning and did not give full support. But when I took him my psychologist appointment , he, from then on begin to give full support. I am Telling you in the hospital he did everything for me including holding me up the whole entire time. My husband has been a great support person. In this situation you really need someone. But I commend you for being able to be as strong as you are. And I wish again I wish I had your courage for the other people i told. Because some people did turn their backs on me. I tell you I couldn't have done this without my husband so you have to consider what's best for you. We are here to support you regardless of what decision I respect you. congratulations for start this journey -

Coffee confusion...need some more experienced advice

Ballermom in the house. I need a serious 13 steps program for coffee lol I'm a Coffeeholic too. Especially since getting my expresso machine. I mean. Lol. I also work off shift too. Every Surgeon is different. My program didn't have much of a delay for coffee. I couldn't tolerate it early on. Now Im am slowing down a little because, coffee can take the place of needed protein drinks an is a diuretic/ can add to dehydration. But I love it. For now -

Anyone have an issue with Sucralose/Splenda?
Ballermom replied to BryBro63's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Well, just been experience big headaches that splenda added to them big time. On medication for when i get migraines. Just got off the splenda this week. I was taking in a lot per day. Re tried it one sip and l was sick. But I loved it in my drinks. I'm so I over it. Good luck -
I did a food funeral too. But when I had to sign that I might have to have an open surgery vs laparoscopy one so I was convinced. I didnt want a long scar. So food funerals are normal but they put you on the diet to shrink the liver so they can get to the stomach. Don't beat yourself up but do re consider following the program. Good luck

How did you handle telling everyone about your surgery
Ballermom replied to vincereautmori's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
11 1/2 month out. Here is what I did, I called up a few friends and family members before surgery. Like I needed permission to have this surgery. Some of my friend were unbelievable supportive. My hubby is the absolute best. Hung in tight through it all. I told my mother and just like it happen to someone else my mother told several family members. She was concerned I guess. But some of the people she told I don't even talk to. So i was quite upset about it To say the least. Anyhow other than close friends and family, I ended up mostly keeping it private and its pretty much that's the way I wanted to deal with it. But I certainly get asked questions evey day at work, after 97 pounds loss. Its been fun with moments difficulty. Especially since ive been a slow looser. Lol. I wouldnt change it. Because it's been a fun ride. -
Congratulations on your surgery. Keep sipping, you can do it
