Besides weight loss, what has been the biggest benefit since getting surgery?
Ballermom replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My bp went from 170/100 to 109/60. Getting non stop compliments. My knee PA who haven't since way before surgery was full of joy over my weight loss saying how I've taken off 4lbs per knee (stress on the knees) for every 1b loss. Yay I'm Happy! -

Slow losers..... Motivational steps

I was staying around 204 lbs I did the 5 day pouch test and broke my into Onderland check my Onderland thread with pics and i stated loosing again. My 5 day was up this past Friday now I'm 196lbs. Woohoo! But at first i was eating sliders. You see dense protein make you fill full longer and close the pyloric sphincter which control movement / emptying of food and sliders well slide right through basically calories. So I've had no popcorn since. I was Getting popcorn , cashews and some fast food protein but salty not the best proteins to reach for. It the 5daypouchtest made me be more aware and reach for protein first. I was also not drinking the amount of water I should and essential eating like I was in mataintence mode but had a long way to go. Before the pouch test I was sort of in denial of my contribution to the slow weight loss for me and addicted to sliders. I'm Happier now. I'd would just go back to basis some are to early for the pouch test but that essentially what it is the first 2 days liquids day three soft etc. I'm 5 1/2 months out so I easily did did soft day 3 and etc. if you are early out and not cleared for hard protein then you Just always stick to Your prescribed Plan. This was my first time using the ouch test. Talk to your Nut if you are struggling don't hesitate. Good luck too Hope this helps some one -

Scheduled 6 month check up with labs. Glad cause I'm slightly tired still sometimes. But overall I feel great even better since I did the 5daypouchtest. Back loosing again. Funny I expected to be jumping out of airplanes and running 5 k races by now. Lol I'll just settle for going back to the gym. Every little bit of exercise counts. Congrats to every one for your weight loss too. -
Im so excited. Hi all, Just want to say thanks to all here on this forum. I finally made it to Onderland and not without you guys helping me. Some of you may already be familiar with me, because I'm the President and CEO of the slow losers club. And guys, i had to rethink my position. lol So, i finally got the break I was looking for. I did the 5 day pouch test that was originally designed for gastric bypass patients. I was out of control with you guess it slider foods like that darn, popcorn. It work to get you back to basics and that it did. Happy dance here! No more popcorn for me after following the program And as an added benefit i lost down 5 pounds. Yay Thank you, because we share more in way of encouraging each on this Journey than sometimes with others. Ballermom

Hay Jacee sleeve sis. Well congrats on your Onderland too! So, yes I suddenly feel really tired. Had to take lots of things like b12 and herbal things for energy thinking about getting labs drawn too. You reminded me to do that this week. -
