Lay offs because my company is shady and they finally got caught... Anyway, my surgery is still a go for 9/17 but I lose my insurance on 9/30. I will be talking to my surgeon to see what the cost for follow up visits and fills is since that's obviously a key factor in success. Can anyone recommend a cheap insurance in CA that will cover visits/band fills?

Yeah I understand I am getting unemployment and between that, my boyfriend, and my mom we will handle the payments for fills! I am 100% confident. I didn't expect people to tell me to postpone my surgery

I know visits are $135 for fills and $100 for a visit and no fill without insurance. I'm gonna see if I can get some type of coverage through EDD?

They offer Cobra here but it's in the neighborhood of $500/Mo!!!!

I'm on the 17th but in CA -
The first time I went to a consult for Lapband I had done tons of research and I get to the orientation and he completely talked down on the band and praised the sleeve. It made me so uncomfortable. I went to another doctor 7 months later and she not only things ill do great with the band but she SUPPORTS me. You want a doctor who will support you

I'm so scared. What if I wake up and regret this? I know it's going to be hard work and that its a tool for life, but I'm depressed because I feel like a loser that can't control my weight without surgery. I'm only 24 I have my whole life ahead of me so I need to get healthy. I think now that I have a date I'm doing the last minute "what ifs" ???ž

I'm wondering that as well.. It really hasn't been discussed either way. Soooo in not gonna mention it lol. My doctor is open and honest about everything and I know a few other patients who have had her with no pre- op.... So maybe it like that for all?? The 40lbs is the remainder of the 65 total I lost 3 years ago... So it's slowly finding its way back... I CAN'T WAIT for Lapband. -

I feel like I'm the only one on the site without a pre-op diet. I have to eat soft foods 12-24 hours prior to surgery and nothing after midnight the night before. -
