Am I Already Intaking ...
BlueTattoo replied to rachelcummings's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My nutriotionist told me to get 64 oz water minimum. And to have 3 protein shakes a day Plus to drink my snack drinks to get more protein. So I'm consuming 129 g prOtein a day. And to take my vitamins two times a day. It's a lot to take in but I don't go anywhere without my water bottle. I'm not supposed to have yogurt til the 6th. But I can have their special chicken soup which has 27 g protein by new direction. -

Sleeping Positions....
BlueTattoo replied to khughes330's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I sleep with a pillow between my knees and then on my side under my belly..I got in this habit enem I was pregnant and never got out of it. It cushions my port side so it doesn't hurt. I used to be a belly sleeper before kids. -
I can have liquids no chunks. I think one of the other things I'm missing is smoking. If I couldn't eat I would smoke. But I quit the day before my surgery and havent picked up one since. It had been very hard but I thought if I could go without food I could go without smoking too

New direction makes an excellent cream of chicken soup (27 g) protien per serving . They also make a hot chocolate that is good too, it also has 27 grams protien. I was very suprised on how well these tasted. I used these while on my pre-op diet and now im using them on my post-op diet.

Well I first joined this site 4 years ago. I started the process then stopped due to having my third baby and didn't pick back up. On the 15th of November I was diagnosed with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. And my doctor told me I need to lose the weight and keep it off or else my liver would begin to fail after 20 years. Talk about a wake up call! I've got 3 kids and I want to live past 48 years of age. So I contacted my weight loss doctor. They ran my insurance and I still qualified with all my prerequisites done. So, I met with the nutritionist today and I'm waiting on the call to start my 10 day diet and find out my surgery date. I know already that I will be banded sometime in December. I have yo yoed in my diet from 270 to 209 then back up to 260. Which is where I am now. My long term goal is to get to 140 since I'm 28 and 5'3 with a medium build. But I can't wait to start this new journey. My doctor said I could be off work from 2 weeks to a month. What's the average down time after being banded and being able to have full mobility ? I look forward to joining the bandster club and getting back to being healthy and having a good support group.

I was off for two weeks with my gall bladder surgery. I had food poisoning on toP of it all. And my doctor was afraid I would pop the stitches stretching against the table. The pain wasn't terrible. But the pain ive been having with my liver hurts a lot more. Especially when I couldn't take pain meds bc they needed to do more blood work. -

I do get to sit down a lot but it is still a lot of movement and stretching in my job , just because i can't reach lol. Thankfully though i can take off up to 2 months with my insurance and still get paid for being at home......I just don't want to be out that long. I get stir crazy after being in bed for 2 days after having my gallbladder removed. -

I'm a poker dealer. And with my height my midsection and rib cage constantly hit the tables when I lean over to pull in chips or cards.
