Well---there I was waiting for everyone at Starbucks. I had a great time by myself. I am dang fun! I had so much to say, no one else could get a word in edgewise. You guys missed out on lots of fun.
-
I plan on being there in the morning! See you then!

Ok---I propose that we meet Saturday, January 19th.--a week from Saturday. Everyone is welcome to come out and meet. It will be a great support system for our local banders group! How about meeting at the Starbucks at Arizona Ave and the 202 in Chandler. The address is 1395 S. Arizona Avenue, Chandler. Shall we meet about 10:00 in the morning? I think according to everyone's posts, we would be free on the weekends. If this doesn't fit with anyone's schedule, just speak up. Nothing is set in stone. Yay---we have a date set!

Hey, progress is progress! You are making progress losing rather than gaining, so that is to be celebrated! I would love for us to meet up someplace for hot chocolate/coffee sometime. I'm thinking some workday after 5. Does that fit with everyone's schedule? Who likes that idea, or who has another idea?

I know what you mean! I feel the same success when I hit 299. I hadn't been under 300 pounds in over 15 years. It's amazing what a number on a scale can do for you mentally.

Today I ordered the Big Book on the Lap Band. I need to remember to follow the doctors guidelines instead of doing what I want. I am two weeks post op, and just starting the pureed portion of the diet. My rationalization is that if I can eat small chunks, then I can eat just about anything and make sure that when I swallow it, it is in small chunks! WRONG! I had some scalloped potatoes and bread thinking that because I am not filled, my band would not cause any restriction. Welcome to a pain at the sternum for not following doctors orders! I am going to be a better patient so I can be a better success story.

I am doing very well. Right now I just need to focus on liquids. It is interesting to think that I have the lap band, but because it is not filled, I am just on a "diet." Looking forward to the restriction.

Great reminder to get out there and MOVE. My choice of exercise is walking, but I find many excuses to "skip it today." I will be banded on the 21st of this month and I can't have the mindset that I will start to excercise once I have the surgery. I know that is not the way to think. Now---to get myself out of this chair and out the door for a brisk walk! : ) Good Luck in your journey.

What protein powder do you like best? I haven't bought any yet. A friend told me of ---Muscle Milk--or something like that that she found at Sam's Club and really likes.

Jerusalum Hospital in Tijiana. I am on my second day of my liquid diet. I thought I would be grouchy as I tend to be grouchy when I'm hungry, but so far so good.

I work in Chandler and will be banded on the 21st of this month. It would be great to have a local support.

I started my liquid diet today. Surgery is on Friday, December 21, 2012. I am excited to get started with a new and healthier lifestyle. On facebook today I found a quote from Marianne Williamson that said, "You must learn a new way to think before you can master a new way to be." Underneath I printed out---Think Thin and Healthy. I am determined to be healthy before 50, a year and a half away, and to have a better quality of life. Healthy Habits to all of us!
