    6 month plateau

No wasn't you at all. I just think people don't realise how it comes across. I know emotion is hard to put in text but some people do sound quite curt. Knowing what journey we've all been on and the plateau's that we hit can put you in a really vulnerable place. We all need support and kind words from time to time. I still need to sort out these email notifications every time someone replies lol especially on threads like this one haha.

I can't believe how long this 'dispute' seems to begging in for. Please someone tell me how to stop receiving email notifications when someone responds because at the moment I'm not enjoying all this. Think it's about time you let it drop! Please!!!!

    Really Struggling

I too have Fibro and was banded at the beginning of sept. I have found that since losing 2 and half stone my joints feel so much better. Tiredness still a major issue. I have even stopped the morphine and just take paracetamol and occasional sleepers when I need a good night sleep. I got in a routine with the morphine and was only that I didn't ache as bad that I thought I'd wean off and haven't looked back. I still have my Oramorph just I case but haven't touched it in 2 months x
  5. Can I also share a really unorthodox way of 'clearing' you out and it seems to work every time got me. I know carbonated is a no no. But if I feel bloated and uncomfortable I let a glass of cola or lemonade sit in a glass and go flat then drink it and guaranteed for me it works!

Would you be trying to stick to the 1000 calories?

    6 month plateau

It's honestly so frustrating the conflicting advise you get. I'm told to try and stick to 3 meals a day with some fruit In between. I had 1 nutritionist telling me that I wasn't eating enough calories and that my body was In Starvation mode and then another phone conversation with another one telling me that she not a believer in that!!!! I'm getting better advise on here from you guys. As least it's proven and tested by people who have actually had the procedure! Thanks

    6 month plateau

Also it's to try and get in 1000 calories as I was told I wasn't eating enough. I stopped losing weight and was told that this was the reason :0(

    6 month plateau

I was told by my nutritionist to have a shake as the protein is high in them (15g) and a good sauce of other nutrients. they are a meal replacement and I do find they fill me up till lunch time. I can't say I love them because I'm not a milk shake sort of person!

    6 month plateau

Yea I need to look at drinks. I live in UK so no Walmart ???ž. I've been having slim fast meal replacement shakes which are 220 Cals with skimmed milk. I think I have to get my head round that I will be on a constant calorie counted diet rather than the ideal I had that I just would eat less and the weight would fall off.

How do you know if you slip?

I'm so with you her. I've had three full now on 6 out if 10. My last fill was only half a mil but boy what a difference and totally made me realise what I thought was good chewing is soooo not. I had the frothing a spit up (not vomit) until it came back up. Horrid. But I chew chew chew now and it's ok. Weirdly I tolerate crispier hard food better than soft now. - strange! X
  18. I'm in UK and take a swig of Lactulose each day and it help. Not to conventional but a glass of diet coke allowed to go flat gets me moving very quickly too!!

    Neck pain

I was told that its over eating. It's similar to the trapped wind pain after surgery. I also get this if I eat bread. Hence I don't eat bread any longer. If you eat really slowly you can usually get an indication of the pain starting and you'll usually find your no longer hungry and its time to stop x

    Should i be losing more???

I sat down earlier for an afternoon In front of the TV but then though NO and went to the pool and swam for 45 minutes with a 5 minute jacuzzi break! How good was I lol. Came out and felt a little tired So whizzed up a quick apple and blackberry smoothie for a bit of energy! I feel same about daily weighing. I was getting so despondent. Not gonna do it anymore I know I'm losing inches as my clothes are so lose just wished the scales had been matching that. But let's see how sticking to the daily calories helps xx good luck guys x

    Should i be losing more???

Well I started Myfitnesspal yesterday and was 100% truthful. I am amazed at the little things and everything you eat really adds up calorie wise. Sunday and Christmas shopping was a hard day, we ate out to In Wagamamas and I just went for a steamed gyozo started thinking 'steamed' cant be bad. They were actually highin calories???! I had an omelette in the morning and still needed protein so later that evening baked a fillet of trout to get me to 65g of protein. With a few walnut halves as snacks. I felt like I ate loads yesterday so lets see if this calorie counting dies work. I'm trying 1000, it's hard to know what you need. I went by Slimfast diet as its 2 shakes a day at just over 400 for both and a 600 meal which is recommended. I'll keep you all posted x

    Should i be losing more???

I've burped since day 1 lol. Yea I decided on around 1000 calories as I done that 5 years ago with weight watchers and lost 3 stone (all went back on) so that must be my comfort area. I am sure it will be a lot easier sticking to it with the aid if my trusty band too lol. He's to what I am calling now my Day 1 of proper weight loss. I think to many people just think 'if I don't eat I'll lose weight' not as easy as that. Re education is more important x

    Should i be losing more???

I think I was expecting a miracle with the weight just falling off me!! I know realise that was Ive been told must be true. IM NOT EATING ENOUGH. I am going to sit down today and write out a diet sheet of around 800 to 1000 calories and stick to it. I've downloaded Myfitnesspal and will use that as an aid. Everyone has done amazing. I'm on 6ml of a 10ml band (.5 of a mil fill last week) I think I may struggle with all the calories so may have to admit defeat and ask for the .5 to be taken back out but we'll see. Good luck everyone and well done! Ps dies everyone burp a lot too?? ???³
