I was having proems with breakfast too. I'm told I must have my breakfast to kick start the metabolism etc. my saving grace has been having a cup of warm boiled water with a squeeze if lemon juice n then half an hour later the food goes down! It's good for weight loss to apparent. I presume we're a little swollen first thing. Try it. May help you too x

As far as I'm aware it's 'thinning' of the hair rather than full on loss. I may be wrong and I'm sure ill get told if I am. I think it's a result of less proteins etc. some people say its the anaesthetic but I've had several over the years and never experienced any hair loss/thinning before. If you haven't had your surgery start taking it now. That would probably help a lot.

I take 4 x 300 over the day. Not noticed an improvement yet but it's early days! Losing do much hair is scary!

I was banded in September. Most people on here seem to be from US. I love the support and advise. Just wondered if there were many Uk'ers and where and when you were banded? Julie

ANNOYING AND MAD WITH MYSELF I had my 3rd fill at the beginning of December and really though I was at what you call the Green Zone. This past week however I've not been so much hungry as boredom eating. If I was in my green zone am I right in thinking that even if I had the dreaded boredom zone if I'd had my right meals I wouldn't get any more food in? So do you suggest I'm ready for another fill Or I just need a kick up the backside and not be so stupid? I'm 5.5 so far with a 10cc band.

Hey it was not even a slice of pizza. Yes we're supposed to be making 'the right choices' but if eating the pizza was the right choice while with your son then so be it. I've eaten pizza. But before LB it would have been a WHOLE pizza. As long as you've counted it in your calories. Don't lose sleep over it or cry. That's just painful and could lead to bigger problems. Sometimes we don't want a salad and just need a bit of normal food. I'll probably be totally brought down for saying that but hey ho! I think if you totally deny yourself everything that ok may be bad choice but a nice choice your more likely give up like we would have done on diets in past. What do they say 'a liittle bit of what you fancy won't kill you' ;0) You've eaten it, enjoyed it and addressed that you have. Move on and stop worrying. Your anxiety over it shows that you knew it was wrong for you, but honestly were only human xxxxxx

Yea. Definitely put Water so you can see that your taking it. I plateaued with weight loss for a bit and listened to people on here. Now I stick to 1000/1100 using MyFinessPal app on phone and its working. And it gives you a breakdown of all nutrients. If you don't have it well worth getting x

Think all bandsters suffer this way! I'm in the UK and have something called lactulose. It's a syrupy med and I just have a swig each morning. It's a softener so no cramps that some laxatives can give you. I do find that if I don't have enough water in the day that has an effect to. To make sure I'm getting my water now I fill a big bottle of my daily water and make sure that I make every effort to get through all of it. Someone on here called it 'Melting Juice' I love that and they are so right. If I dont drink enough I don't lose weight! Good luck x

Oh no I learnt that lol. It's just instinct to grab some water if something is stuck thinking it would help. Never again it was awful !! Still on a big learning curve with this whole journey x

I was banded in September and plateaued for about a month. People on here all said same to me. Track food, drink water and have your protein. As soon as I did the scales started going the right way again. I use 'my fitness pal' it's great and you can chat to other bandsters. Good luck xxx

I will say up to my third fill (which was only .5cc) I thought I chewed really well. How wrong I was. It took a few stuck episodes for me to realise I wasn't chewing half as much thats needed to. When you have none or hardly any restriction it's hard to comprehend this but practice. Chew till the food virtually is just nothing in the mouth. The few episodes I've had we're uncomfortable not painful. I automatically went for a drink thinking it would flush it down. It didn't for me, I got the slime in the mouth and mine had to come back up. It's not like vomiting as its not right from the stomach it's a bit like regurgitating but once that happened I felt ok. Tender but ok! But just remember chew chew chew!

I'm doing good. It takes a little getting used to and getting your head round the fact that it still hard Work from you rather than an easy option (which I think we all think it will be). I hit a plateau in weight loss about 4 weeks ago and was fed up but advice from on here to make sure I have between 1000 and 1100 calories a day with all my protein and loads of water WORKED. Back on the losing track. Stopped a bit over Xmas but back in track now x I downloaded MyFitPal on my iphone. It's fantastic. You really know what calories your taking in I'd definitely recommend that. You can add people too I'm mummajuju on there. Add me if you download it. It's handy to look at others food diaries too to get ideas. Op wise I found it fine. Not even really uncomfortable at all so you'll be fine. I did get hungry after which shocked me as I wasn't expecting that and everyone is different. However it did go off after a few days. I've had my third fill now and just with that one felt restriction. Before that I didn't know I really had a band. It's a funny feeling but I learnt one this. I wasn't chewing nearly enough as I needed before my last fill and I learnt that the hard way lol so when your on your solids chew chew chew! Anyway just got to do my tea so hopefully talk soon. Feel free to ask me anything if I can help xx good luck xx Julie x -

I was Hampshire UK. Who are you/ was you banded by as my company operate there to WLS -
Oh and how big is this cup. What can I compare it to?
-
Thanks for that. I was given a laminate of a small side plate sectioned off Half is protein and the other half is sectioned for a small portion if carbs and rest veg. To me if I was to put that on the plate and transfer to a cup it's a lot more than a cupful. I do track on My Fitness pal and have done for past month. I am amazed when you actually track the calories you take (or don't take) I have found it a great help x
