  1. Hey ladies, I have size 16 jeans from torrid and work slacks from JcPenny. Ready to ship, have pictures. Thanks, Jenn
  2. Work pants and the back pockets of the jeans. FYI the ripped jeans are supposed to be that way. It's the style. I paid extra for the holes, lol. Sounds silly right? Also all the pants are boot cut. If you have any more questions feel free to message me.
  3. Sorry I have been dealing with some vertigo today. Every time I get up I get very dizzy. It's been a weird day. So sorry to make you wait here are the jeans. The work pants are going to be in the next thread.

  8. Just finished 1/2 marathon #2. Feeling good.

  9. Reach my exercise goal this week, now I just need to log some miles 1/2 marathon in a week. Eek!!

  10. So this week has been weird. I had a fill last week Thursday at 3cc but for some reason this week my hunger has increased. On Monday my stomach was growling for breakfast, so I made 2 eggs over easy and pumpernickel toast. Tuesday was pretty normal but today Wednesday my hunger monster was growling. At 10:00 my stomach demanded to be fed but I was in a meeting so all I got down was a Muscle Milk Light, by 11:30 I was ravenous lunch was not until 12:30 so I had half of a light yogurt to tied me over. I ate my lunch of 2 tacos with chicken and pico de gallo and a child size cheese quesadilla. Had a snack at 2:30 even though I wasn't hugery (Other half of yogurt) at 4:30 I was ravenous again so I had 1/2 cup of a mix of brown rice and minced beef chili. So I am ok until 6:30 when my stomach starts growling again. This is new to me to feel such strong hunger. Has anyone else experienced this? I have consumed about 1200 calories today which is good. But to feel so much hunger is weird.

    Increased hunger!!!!

So my nutritionist advised me to be on an eating schedule for various reasons. 1. My blood sugar won't drop by eating 6 small meals a day 2. It revs up my metabolism by having expected eating times 3. It is "suppose" to keep me from being ravenous and having spikes of hunger throughout the day Honestly I like it. It keeps headaches and tiredness at bay. It's all about the choices you make at those eating times. 8 am Breakfast Protein, fruit, maybe milk. 300 cal 10 am snack string cheese. 100 cal 12 pm lunch, protein and veggie. 300 cal 2 pm snack hummus or pre portioned organic Peanut Butter with apple slices. 120 - 200 cal (I only eat this snack if I am truly hungery otherwise I wait until 4pm snack break) 4 pm pre dinner snack- string cheese 100 cal 6 pm dinner protein and veggies. 300 cal. Total calories 1100 -1300 7pm 1 hour workout ( hot yoga, elliptical with high resistance and elevation, jogging, ect.) calories burned 350-580 9pm post workout protein (muscle milk) or on my craving days sugar free dark chocolate Eskimo Bar I am still burning more than I am taking in and burning the fat off my body. In the past 2weeks I have lost inches and the flab on my tummy is changing to fab. I can see more muscle definition and it seems to work well for me. Perhaps I am hungery because my metabolism is kicking in, something I haven't felt in years. Before I would eat just for the taste or boredom or simply just to eat. But now thanks to the band I can eat small meals be satisfied and have enough energy to power me through the work day, work outs and my classes at night. I sleep like a baby on my yoga days, before I would be awake until 3 am and I was always tired because I was in sleep debt. I feel more energized than ever. I will still talk to my nutritionist about my hunger and my doctor when I see him in March. In the mean time I keep a food journal to track my progress. Maybe hunger doesn't have to be such a bad thing after all. I just have to remember "Eat to live, Not live to Eat"

    Increased hunger!!!!

In regard to muscle milk light. 15 grams of protein, 1 gram of sugar 10 gram carb, 4 gram of fiber. Really great post workout, helps with muscle build. I do yoga 3 x a week and run or another form of cardio 3x a week. I have a half marathon superbowl Sunday, so the protein helps greatly. My meals are small usually eaten off a Childs plate. And I take 45 minutes to an hour to eat.

    Increased hunger!!!!

Wow lots of great answers here. Thanks guys, now let me answer some of your questions. 1. Protein-my goal is 60 grams a day. My protein shakes are limited to one a day and it is usually after a workout. Yesterday was busy and I opted for that choice since I was having a meeting with my boss. 2. Carbs-I agree that carbs do not fill you up anywhere near protein. However both my tacos were 10 grams of protein each. So I received 20 grams of protein in two tacos. 3.yogurt-I ate half of a container of yogurt to keep with an eating schedule. I was not Hungary but half of a yoplat light would fulfill my small snack requirement. So today same feeling of hunger, not thirst.I reach for water first before food just to see if water is the issue.it never is its food. So my plan is eggs for breakfast, string cheese for snack, chicken and veggies for lunch, hummus for snack, fish and veggies for dinner and a muscle milk after yoga. With lots of water a cup of tea in the day. I hope this will appease the hunger.
  14. To be honest the pain threshold varies from person to person. If anything you will feel tired and you won't be able to eat anything at the party. Your stomach is still healing. When I had surgery I got winded very easily. It was hard for me to walk to long. I remember taking a trip to the store with my husband was horrible. My stomach was all bloated and puffy from surgery and just walking around the store was making me sooo tired and winded, you would think I just ran 10 miles, it took me forever to walk anywhere. When I would get home I would take a nap. It would be best to take it easy and heal. There will be plenty of birthdays and I am sure your friends will understand. It's really important to heal properly to avoid potential complications.

  17. So this past weekend I have been dealing with the hunger monster. I have a serious sweet tooth but I have come to find out that when I eat sweets my band burns like someone poured hot acid on it. Which is a good thing, I guess. So now I have to find a way to nurture my sweet tooth without causing, what I am assuming, damage to my band. I have managed to kick soda, alcohol and cigarettes so giving up sweets should be easy right? Well....I am not sure if I would call it easy but I would defiantly say it will be a journey but in the end the victory will be well worth it. So the solution? On Saturday I found a Facebook ad for no or low carb and no sugar bread and sweets. I know they tell us not to eat bread because it can expand in our stomach, which would be awful for the band. Julian Bakery makes many breads and sweets with no sugar and no or little carbs. The ingredients are simple, Ingredients: Purified water, oat fiber, erythritol, egg whites, inulin, almond meal, modified corn starch, cocoa (processed with alkali), olive oil, xanthan gum, guar gum, leavening (monocalcium phosphate, baking soda), natural flavors. These are the ingredients for the chocolate brownies I purchased. The company lists the following on their site: ThinSlim Foods low carb, low fat, and low calorie brownies. http://www.julianbakery.com/ Each brownie is only 45 calories, 2g net carbs, 0 diet count,2 diet count plus, has 8g of fiber and 6g of protein. These brownies are sweetened with erythritol instead of maltitol or splenda so there is no aftertaste and no GI distress. These brownies have been designed so that they won’t cause any blood sugar spike in diabetics – a true low carb food. All our products come with two guarantees: 100% guaranteed not to raise blood glucose. 100% Taste Guarantee – applicable for 1 item of each product/flavor per customer. So of course I had to try these. Once they come in I will let you know if it was worth my $11.00. Although I have been finding ways to moderate my favorite treats I am going to challenge myself this week before my brownies come, I invite you all to join my challenge. For this week try finding a replacement for your old bad habits and post them. If you love ice cream try freezing greek yogurt. If you enjoy Starbucks caramel frappuccino, try the coffee frap with skim milk and a pump of sugar free caramel. Either way try something new, small changes can make a bigger impact on your weight loss goals we just need to make them one step at a time. I look forward to your posts.
  18. Making a new goal this week to exercise 5 out of the 7 days.

  19. That can be easily resolved. You can get a food scale or go by a basic measurement, such as protein should be the size of the palm of your hand or a deck of cards. It will get easier if you remain consistent, consistency is key as with everything in life. I made the mistake a log time ago to say ok I reached my goal and I have done my due diligence so now I can take a break, yeah the weight came back to bite me on the ass even harder. We are human and we learn from trial and error. It's ok if you have a treat now and then but don't make it a habit. Instead make new habits like fruit and vegetables as snacks. We can get through this and overcome. Keep your eyes on the overall prize, mine is to fit into those smaller jeans and cute tops and dresses.
  20. I really like protein plus from Costco. 35 grams of protein and 1 gram of sugar. Muscle milk light is my favorite 100 calories, 15 grams of protein and 1 gram of sugar. All of the proteins you listed have lots of sugar. My doctor placed those on a do not drink list, but what is most important is what does your doctor say? My doctor wants me to reach a goal of 60 grams of protein a day, however my dietician wants me to ween from protein shakes and get it from other sources like fish, chicken, eggs and milk. You might want to go with high protein,15 to 30 grams, sugars of less than 10 grams, 1 gram is ideal, and carbs of 10 grams or less. Good luck.
  21. I just had my first fill of 3 cc's on Thursday. I was given 48 hours of liquids. Very hard. I had the same problem of being Hungary. I have been taking in a protein shake, then a high protein yogurt, protein shake, yogurt and finish the night with soup. I will drink tea and water in between to feel full. It has been a struggle. I noticed Greek yogurt keeps me full for a while since it is so thick. I was even thinking of mixing my protein powder with a bit of yogurt and some skim milk. Don't worry it will pay off, it's only 2 days. I just hope my plateau will go away for the past week I have been between 210 and 208. I would love to keep going down. Guess I just need more exercise. Good luck to you!
  22. So I received my first fill of 3cc's today. I don't feel restriction. 2 days of liquids. Maybe things will change.

    Fat free VS Sugar free?

Well sugar free is no Buenos for me. It makes me bloated and gassy. I had a jello sugar free pudding and now I am thirsty and bloated. Next time I'll just make chocolate pudding from scratch with stevia. Pretty much anything processed with words that are hard to pronounce you should stay away from. If its made in a food lab imagine what it does to your insides. Good grief. :-(

    Fat free VS Sugar free?

Do not be fooled by "Sugar Free", there is still sugar alcohol in the products as well as sucralose. Attached is a link to help you with the different between fat free and sugar free products. http://www.momswhothink.com/diet-and-nutrition/sugar-free-or-fat-free-to-lose-weight.html Either way I have found taking in natural sugar and fats will help curb your cravings and assist you in staying full longer. Try Salmon for fats or organic raw butter. How about cooking with coconut oil. It's wonderful. As far as sugar I love pineapple. Sweet and satisfying. Hope the article helps.
