TV - Skinny teen got a Bypass in Mexico

Thinjen, I must know more about that show. I'm totally into dysfunction and have to set my VCR for that one!

Okay, fine. Here's Chubby D's new doo.

Look what Maryanne did to my head! And yes, I'm loving it! And no, I won't post a pic of the front because I'm in denial about the new wrinkles that keep developing and the few pounds I put back on.
  4. Dr. Lopez did a 13 year old the same day as me. I considered her chubby and was shocked her parents didn't wait till she was at least 18 or even 16. I don't think the show was too far-fetched. Here at LBT we only hear of the top Mexican doctors that would never band a skinny girl. But for anyone that's ever spent time in Tijuana, they'll do almost anything for a chunk of American cash. There are doctors in TJ that will write prescriptions for anything if you slip them $20.00. I was never asked for an ID during my 2nd port removal and nobody ever spelled my name the same twice.

TV - Skinny teen got a Bypass in Mexico

I know it was fiction, but I still want to know how it ended! I've heard of that show but never got a chance to see it. Not a bad show! But honestly, it could really happen. Anything goes in Mexico. Dr. Kuri never even asked for ID when I had my port removed.

    VEGAS BASH 2005 Final Countdown

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (did I say Please?) Please print these directions. Last year 6 people called at once asking for directions while the doorbell was ringing and I was burning down the kitchen. Chris & Lisa Bonekovic "Bones" 8130 Fox Tail Way Las Vegas, Nevada 89123 (702) 269-9220 - home (702) 419-6054 - Lisa's cell Any cab driver, or anyone familiar with Vegas, will know exactly where I am. We are right off the Windmill West exit of the 215 Freeway. Driving from California, take the Blue Diamond exit off the 15 South, which curves around to the light at Las Vegas Blvd. Make a right onto LV Blvd, then go Left at Windmill. Travel about 3 miles and go Right at Hunter's Glen, then a very quick Left at Sleetridge, which turns into Fox Tail Way. You'll see a house with a big ugly fountain, and I live right next door. You'll see my house as soon as you make the left onto Sleetridge. Those are the same directions from anywhere on the Strip. Just take Las Vegas Blvd. South, Left on Windmill, Right on Hunter's Glen, Left on Sleetridge which curves into Fox Tail Way. I live right past the curve next to the ugly fountain house. OR, from anywhere in Vegas or Henderson, get on the 215 freeway and take the Windmill West exit. After you cross the traffic light, make a Left on Hunter's Glen (it's the first tiny side-street after the light.) Then an immediate Left onto Sleetridge, which curves into Fox Tail. You'll see a house with an ugly fountain, and my house is next door. You can't miss it. Buca di Bepo is on Flamingo at Paradise (it's not on the very corner, but go to the North-East corner of Flamingo and Paradise and you'll see it across the street from Terrible's Casino. I will make the reservations for 20 people for drinks at 5:00 p.m. and dinner to be served at 6:00 p.m. starting with salad and Garlic Bread. I will edit this post later with the menu. Please bring cash/change. Dinner will be approximately $15.00 each unless their prices have increased, so bring $20 just in case.

    2005 Vegas Bash

I'm lonely, and I need new clothes, plus it's never too early to start planning this summer's Vegas Bash/Clothing Exchange. We should do it earlier this time when the pool Water is still warm. Lots of pool fun this time! I would suggest Labor Day weekend, but I think hotel rates go up for holidays. FEEDBACK, PLEASE. Same as last year. We'll all meet for dinner at Buca di Bepo Friday night, then party at my house on Saturday. This year's theme is salad Bar Buffet, potluck poo-poo platters, and appetizers. And Carol's famous margueritas will be our yearly tradition (I hope she can come!)

CAN ANY MODERATOR PLEASE LOCK THIS THREAD? Thanks I'm starting a new thread, so please go to Vegas Bash 2005 Final Countdown for all the information you'll need. Thanks.
  9. According to statistics, I am the perfect Bandster. Stats show that the Band will help you lose 1/2 of your extra weight, which is exactly what I did. I made it down to 243 at one point, but now I'm staying right around 250 no matter what I do. I've watched "normal" people, and I'm eating like a normal person but maintaining at 250. I've been eating really well lately, but the numbers don't go down. I'm convinced that Mother Nature and the Angels and the Earth and the Powers that be want me to weigh 250, because life shouldn't be any harder than it already is. Sure, I could measure 2 ounces of tuna on a celery stalk and lose more weight, but for today I am a beautiful, plus-size 250 pound gal that eats much slower, much smaller, and much healthier than I have for a decade. I've maintained an approximate 65 (SIXTY-FIVE) whopping pounds of fat loss. That's incredible. Just for today, I accept who I am. Most of you will think that 250 is way too heavy, but let's remember that I'm a giant at 5'10" tall, so 250 to me is like 200 to you. Would anyone like to ride along with me on the Acceptance Train?

How Many Exercise Gadgets Do You Own?

Having all that crap lying around puts extra pressure on us. I just want to breathe, which is why I'm doing anything and everything to get rid of anxiety. All it takes to stay healthy is 30-60 minutes of walking a few times a week and a few pumps of weights. We are not body builders, just regular people. We've exercised more than all our skinny friends put together. If we were gonna have rock hard bods, it would have happened by now! Remember the comedianne (sp?) who said she orders a salad on all dates, then goes home, bolts the door and put on her eating clothes? Then she says, "And you gotta go to the gym, cause if you don't some other bitch will!" But my favorite line is when she says every time she exercises, she stares at the phone waiting for it to ring with the recorded message telling her she's just completed the exercise portion of her life. That's what I'm hoping for!

    Dizzy!

If it's an ear thing, have you heard of Ear Candles? My weirdo herbal friend introduced me to them. I thought she was kidding, but she really shoved this long candle into my ear and lit it. I had to lay there on my side as she monitored the thing because I was afraid my head would catch on fire. I'm not sure how it works, but it's supposed to draw out all the wax. You look really stupid during the process, but they make my ears feel pretty good afterwards.

    Dizzy!

Alex, I think I'm allergic to climate changes, especially lightening. I get loopy/dizzy/lightheaded, plus my eyes become severely painful. I still predict earthquakes on occasion by screaming noises in my ears that drop me to the floor. A couple years ago, I happened to catch a special on TV about a woman that's allergic to lightening. Okay, it sounds weird, but the poor thing curls up in a ball and has electric shock pains through her whole body during storms. Then other people talked about predicting earthquakes based on piercing rings in their ears. Furthermore, I get severe vertigo in high buildings. When I'm at the top of the Empire State Building my body bonks off the walls like I'm a human pinball because I wobble and can't keep steady - legs turn to Jello. There's a rotating restaurant at the top of The Stratosphere, where I had to leave my steak and lobster behind because I got seasick and nearly tipped over when I tried to stand. I get more seasick than most people, too. Plus I have anxiety disorder. I've also been told by several psychics that I'm highly intuitive, so I wonder if all this adds up somehow. Toss in the fact that I'm the only one that got severe Elevation Sickness when I went to Brianhead a couple weeks ago to 11,000 feet elevation. I think I attribute a lot of this to differences in air pressure. My dad lives in Key Largo right on a canal. I get seasick even before I get on the boat. It takes me several days to adjust to living near the Water. I have to take seasick medicine as soon as I get to his house or I get really sick. And the day after a fishing trip Chris has to hold my arm to walk because I can't steady myself. I'm extremely sleep-deprived today, so my mirds are wixed, but the point I'm trying to suggest is perhaps the climate, storms, and all the weird weather might be to blame? Just another Delarlaism.

    Favorite Clothing Stores

Wait, let me back up and agree with Vine. I still hate shopping, even after losing 65 pounds. My height added to my weight still makes it next to impossible to find pants. I was starting to squeeze into 18s, but only a few pair fit. The rest vary between 20 and 22. Phooey on shopping. But when we do find that one amazing item that actually fits and flatters, I guess it makes it all worth while.

    Dizzy!

I get dizzy and/or vertigo from anxiety. Also, maybe it's time to get your eyes checked?
  19. I have silky straight hair for the first time in my life. I'm the "before" girl on the Garnier commercials, with the big poof of frizz-bomb on my head. I purchased the TrueCeramicPro after seeing the infomercial, and I used it for the first time today. It really does glide right through your hair! It didn't snap and pop the damaged pieces the way a curling Iron or straightening iron does, just glides right throught. Left my hair super-straight. I've had other straightening devices, but I'm sold. Cost $144.00 by the time they added in shipping, but worth it. I even got complimented from the Company Grouch, who usually doesn't even talk to me.

    Favorite Clothing Stores

I shop at Ross every two weeks because they have a wide variety of "disposable" clothes. I get bored easy so I only wear things a few times, and Ross has tons of different designer labels for really cheap. During the holidays I splurge on big ticket items that stay in my wardrobe for life - Nordstrom is my fave, but I also love Dillard's.
  21. I LOVE this list! A new driver's license? I just stood up and applauded that one. Wearing high heels, going back to school, learning new things, giving up prescription meds, breathing independently... I am so, so impressed. My new business was started by women and run by only women. I went to my first meeting, where I met the most amazing, professional, upbeat and POSITIVE women in the world - simply empowering. I wanted to be one of them, so I signed some contracts and plunked down a nice investment. I'll have my new company e-mail set up in the next week, but I won't have my website up for three months. "Lingerie, novelties, books, lotions, edibles and devices." Yep, toys, too! Only it's all done in such a classy, tasteful and fun manner that I can't wait to get my inventory (next week.) Let me know if you want more info and I'll PM you. NOW I AM ONE OF THEM! There's no way in hell I could have stood up front of women doing presentations at my old weight. Now I stand in front of the room feeling like this enormous powerful brilliant sexy woman, and it's all about attitude. If I can feel hot and sexy at 250, anybody can. My French and guitar are coming along, so what will I do next year?

    TrueCeramicPro - Product Evaluation

Just wanted to let anyone with huge, frizzy and unmanageable hair know that I still LOVE this product and use it all the time. If I'm in a hurry, a few runs through the top layers of my hair smooth things out nicely. Great product.
