My doc said Miralax is okay to use because it's gentle and doesn't have harsh side effects...so that's what I use and I'm doing good...best wishes!

I started to get hungry at 4 days post op, my doc said that when the swelling around the band starts to go down, hunger will return...so I think it's normal.....I wish you well!

Almost 12 hours post-op....no incision pain just a slight sore throat and gas pain in my back, side and shoulder, all on one side! Heating pad, gas-x strips and liquid loratab. If you don't have a heating pad I would recommend getting one before your surgery..mine is a godsend....No desire to eat or drink, so I have to make myself sip protein water. Hoping tomorrow is better pain wise but I am finding the pain manageable...Good vibes to all up coming banders and healing wishes for the recently banded!

In a little more than 13 hours we will be heading to the hospital for my 6am showtime!....I'm nervous now for sure! Spent some time today making dinners for the family so my husband won't have to burn grilled cheese sandwiches for the kids in the next few days...Thank you to those that mentioned the gas-x strips....bought some the other day! To all Dec 17th banders Good Luck tomorrow!

    Triwest Prime

All Triwest patients have to do the required 6 months of medically supervised diet and exercise I heard it differs from region to region, but West is 6 months...I actually did 7 months by mistake!!..I have a surgery date and now I am just waiting on the approval. Good Luck!

    Tricare Prime

I have Tricare prime...Triwest is my region, 6 months of medically supervised diet and exercise is required in my region but I believe other areas may differ.. I completed my 6 months plus all the testing, I have a surgery date and now I'm awaiting approval after having to get a pcm referral problem fixed..should know any day now! I personally think Triwest is a nightmare to deal with..spoke with 7 different people there today and got 7 different answers! I wish you Good luck!
