    LOTS of food complications

I agree with Missy, a doctor that's unwilling to do an unfill if I want one is not a doctor that I would keep seeing...if you insist and he refuses, I think it's time for a new doctor.....Good luck and best wishes...
  3. My weight was 286 on surgery day...I didn't do a pre op diet as it wasn't required by my surgeon....I log everything that I eat at myfitnesspal...my calories vary between 700-900, I get around 80 grms of Protein daily, I eat very little carbs, I eat, lean meat, fish, vegetables, yoghurt, Beans and fruit mostly , I also have a Protein shake sometimes when I need to get more calories or protein in me and I walk 7 days a week!
  4. I chose the band because I wanted the least invasive surgery and one that was reversible.......I'm 6 weeks post op and have lost 32 lb's in those 6 weeks...loving my band!

  14. I'm so sorry....that was unprofessional and mean of her. I would definitely not see her again. How ignorant of her to compare your weight loss to other peoples...everyone is different. Don't give up hun, you're so new to this, like me. We will do this!!...big hugs

Cereal and the Lap Band ?

You have to find what works for you and fits in your diet...In the beginning you have to stick to the doctor recommended foods for a reason.....but realistically you have to find food that you can eat for the rest of your life and if cereal is one of those foods then I don't see any problem with that. You can count the cereal's carbs and calories, stick to your portion and count it in your daily calorie allotment. Obviously there are cereals out there that are better than others, high fiber and low sugar cereals are going to be better than frosted flakes....

  20. I agree with Missy, I track everything I put in my mouth on myfitnesspal..If you are staying within your portion/calorie limits and moving it will happen...we all lose at different rates, I know it's hard not to be discouraged, hang in there and Best Wishes
