My husband drinks this too...you both have good taste
  5. I didn't have a lower body lift but I had a tummy tuck in 2009. I still have numb spots between my new belly button and my scar at the bikini line and sometimes I get itches that I can't scratch because of the numbness, I wouldn't change a thing though....5 lb's of excess skin was removed. Even though I regained almost all the weight after the tummy tuck, I gained almost nothing in my stomach and my muscles are still extremely tight....so I will not need another tuck! Congrats on your weightloss, awesome!

    Questions

I didn't have to do a pre op diet either, I was just told to eat light the day before surgery, I put myself on a a liquid diet for the 3 days before surgery. I am 2 months post op and have not thrown up at all. I was sent home with liquid lortab and anti nausea meds (because the lortab makes me nauseous). Best Wishes for your surgery
  8. I can't relate to the tall thing cause I'm quite a short ar** but you look fabulous!! and no where near your age

    No more fills

Even at 2 months post op I'm pretty sure I don't want any more fills..I've only had one and I have 3 cc's in my band right now. Time and time again I have read about too tight, reflux, getting stuck, not being able to eat foods like fruit and salad and I just don't want to go that route. I know that not everyone at restriction has problems and that some are doing great and I'm truly happy for them. I think for me personally, I can and will continue the way I am. I know some people say it's just a diet without restriction but I'm really okay with that. Next week I have an appointment with my surgeon for a fill and I will "fill" him in on my plan! No offense meant to anyone, I'm just sayin'

    program fees

All of my nut consults and all the exercise and support groups and classes are free for me at my surgery center, but I would have paid a program fee if I had to...love, love, love my surgery center!

    program fees

I've never heard of it either. I have a $12 co pay for each doctor visit.
  14. I lost 40 lbs in 2 months, retired my 2x pj's and can wear my size 18's again (but not for long)!

    Hiatal Hernia Diaphragm Pressure

I had a hernia repaired too...the short answer to what will help the pain, is time. Every day you should feel better than the last and about a week from now you will feel sooooo much better. Hang in there and congrats on your banding!
  17. Myfitnesspal says the same thing to me when I log my calories....I don't worry about it, I just keep on doing what I'm doing. My nutritionist told me the first 6 weeks were for healing, not to pay attention to calories, just protein and water intake.. You're doing great at 2 weeks post op and you could always talk to your nutritionist if you have worries. Best Wishes!

    Let's Talk Straws....

    Tricare prime

CG mentioned something I forgot...you will need a referral from your PCP. I didn't need a referral until I was 4 months into my supervised diet, if I had got one before hand it would have expired, but if you don't have to do a supervised diet you will need one right away..

    bread/pasta/tortillas

I haven't had any of the above since my surgery almost 2 months ago...I was am a carb addict and LOVED bread, so I feel much safer staying away from it right now while in the losing stage of my journey. I do think maybe some day I will eat them again....just not now. Like my friend CG girl said, do what works for you!

    Tricare prime

You would be in the Tricare South region and the lap band is covered by Tricare Prime. Are you at or around Keesler AFB then? My first step would be to locate a surgeon in your area that takes Tricare, they will be able to tell you what Tricare requires, my region TriWest requires a 6 month supervised diet but your region may not.....Try looking online, this site has a surgeon search engine at the top of the page...You could even call Tricare and ask them which bariatric surgeons are in your network.....Best Wishes!
  24. I couldn't see them yesterday but I see them now...cute little buggers!
