I was told caffeine dehydrates you and we are already fighting to stay hydrated after surgery. However, I don't always follow the rules....I have one small cup every other day or I will make a 8 oz cup with 1/2 decaf and then try to drink an extra glass of Water a day. So I'm almost 5 weeks post op and I've been getting a really bad pain in my back. It is not in my lower back where I did to get it. It is is on my right side, under my shoulder blade.
