I'm 3 weeks into my 4 weeks of Clear liquids, one week left to mushies. Can't wait to have something to chew. Protien shakes have helped tremendously. 3 a day and no hunger. I rarely even have the broth. Find I need to chew, so the sugar free pop cycles work great for that

I was banded on the 15th. I. Feel pretty good tried to sleep in bed but I'm a side sleeper the gravity pulled on my port to bad, it's back to the recliner for a while. As for the protien shakes, I'm getting 90+ a day easy. costco Premier chocolate freeze to thick cut open the pouch scoop it out, it's like a fudge cycle. Matrix nectar in peach I can put that in water and drink like flavored water. It's ally good. I add my Calcium powder but it doesn't dissolve I need to straight shot that with some sf kook aide. I'm also doing Benifiber twice a day in my protien. I'm not allowed any mushies for 4 weeks Good luck hope you get something out of my post.

I was Friday too. I'm putting Benifiber in my protien shakes to help. But again don't feel the need to go. Head aches, yes in the morning, just annoying goes away eventually. I thought it could be dehydration but I have been getting 3 quarts plus protien in 24 hours

The uNjury is truly non flavored. However you do need to watch the high temp, it can separate over 140 degrees. I think the trick is mix first then heat to desired temp. I bought 2 containers it can go in anything... Crystallite etc

Mine says no as well but I gulp more or when I sip get more air then with the straw.....go figure

I was banded yesterday and hiatal repair. The heating pad does wonders. Pain med I was also told to take liquid Motrin at the same time. Deep breaths even though it hurts. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

I'm required to start today, my first. 3 Protein shakes a day and clear liquid. Sounds like it takes a while to get them down, not like before surgery. Cooling mine down now, will try to get it going soon. Not hungry, but told we really need the protein and Vitamin C to heal quickly

I too had mine yesterday. Hiatal repaired too. Have shoulder and neck pain wondering if that's the gas or the hernia repair causing the discomfort. Did you sleep in recliner? Could only sleep an hour at a time. Congrats on your loss before surgery, that's AWESOME!!!! Best of luck for a speedy recovery.

Funny I'm doing the same thing. My daughter is at college wasn't going to tell her but she's coming home this weekend and my surgery is in the morning. So I had to tell her. Not telling any family but my husband, he's taking me. Only my best friend knows. I plan on just telling people I'm watching what I eat....not sure if that will work. My mom thinks I'm just n a liquid diet for a while..... Good luck, let me know what you come up with.....

I did the same thing. Vanilla is boring but the sugar free syrups are awesome. My favorite is the salted carmel. It works with vanilla, choc, and cookies and cream!

Everyone around me has been really sick with the flu. Not stomach thank goodness. I'm coming down with this darn thing, wondering if I will have to reschedule. I'm afraid I will be full blown on Friday when my surgery is scheduled

Yep rescheduled for either the 8th or 15th. It was nice to have some homemade chicken noodle soup tonight!

Everyone around me has been sick. I've been doing Zicam and airborne for the last 2 weeks. I'm afraid I'm delaying the inevitable. Each day another symptom surfaces. I've added Vitamin C too along with Vitamins. Calling doc tomorrow to see what they say. Yes I know I don't want to have to start the Clear liquids over considering he makes us do 4 weeks after!!!!

I just had my preop visit. My orders are: 10 days preop. Completely clear liquids except Protein shakes. Post op 4 weeks clear liquids but a few more things added that are acceptable. 5 to 8 weeks mushies. After that solids. He wants to make sure there is no chance of slippage

That's awesome, congrats!!!! I think 2 lbs a week is perfect!

I'm on day 4. Doing pretty well but the hardest time is at night when my husband has dinner. I don't like Mac and cheese but boy it sure smelled good!! I only het hungry at night. I think the trick is having the Protein by itself. In the morning that's all I have, I can go all day with just Water, but afternoon I feel I need some broth and the shake, I get hungry sooner. Go figure??

I ordered unjury samples and matrix samples. Tried the uNjury it's very good. The unflavored was great,really no flavor and not chalky. So far that's the only one I tried. Will let you know on the others soon. Congrats and good luck!!!

I'm 2/1 as well! All pre-op testing is finally done including psych eval today. Pre-op with nutritionist is 1/24 then I'm good to go. I am super excited and not one day have I questioned my choice. Tried my first Protein shake today. Testing them to see which brand and flavors I like so I can get them ordered to have here when I'm ready Best of luck to all!!!!

All tests completed, pshyc eval over today. 24th preop & nutritionist, then 2/1 scheduled surgery!! So excited!! Testing out the different protein shakes now to see which ones I like before I have to drink them. The uNjury non flavored truly is unflavored. I think I can use that in anything.

So glad to hear all your comments. I made the mistake of watching a YouTube video and it freaked me out a bit! Looked like they couldn't find the port......do they have a hard time getting the needle in the port, or is it more how good your doctor is filling it?

I'm scheduled for Feb 1st as well. Just started all the pre-op scheduled testing, psych etc. I'm self pay. I have something each week, the last 1/24 with my surgeon, then the following week I go in. Getting so excited!!!! Cleaned out a couple drawers this weekend and threw out some of my big cloths, especially underwire bras, I hate them!!!! Wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery!
