    Need advice

I am 5 months post-op! I have a 10cc band. I got my last fill about 3 months ago and I have lost a lot of weight had no problems what so ever eating! This last 3 weeks I have been regurgitating everyday sometimes everytime I eat. I feel like my food is not going down like it suppose to and I end up regurgitating it back up, it's not a violent regurgitating but I know this is not normal. Sometimes it's hard for me to drink anything without it coming back up. I thought I had Acid Reflux or either I am eating too fast not chewing enough. And I get the hiccups and start to burp! I have health insurance my husbands job changed from Aetna to Blue Cross Blue Shield. I am waiting on my new insurance card to come in so I can go see my Dr. Any advise anyone

    I DID IT

I am happy to say I got my first fill yesterday! My Dr took out the saline he put in during surgery, to my amaze it was 4cc. I have a 10cc band and yesterday he added another 2cc, so I now have 6 cc in and my surgery was on November 26, 2013. I am happy to say all my fear was for nothing. I didn't even feel when he put the needle in the port, or the fill.. Than you Jesus! I was even given a needle to carry on me at all times in case I had to go to the emergency room for so unforeseen reason, so they would have the needle they needed incase they needed to access my port in a case of emergency. I am happy to say I'm on the Liquids for 48 hour, then back to regular eating. No bread, No beef. On my way to a health new me. So excited!!

    I DID IT

My Dr said they were suppose to give it to me after my surgery before I went home! But they forgot, so he gave it to me yesterday. When I asked him why he stated most emergency rooms do not have the proper needle they use for a fill. So incase of an emergency he gives it to his Patiences to carry on them at all times. You never know

    A little scared

I go for my first fill tomorrow! I am kind of scared because I don't know what to expect. Also anticipating it makes me lose weight like I'm suppose to. I been eating right and following Dr orders but I go up and down a couple of pounds everyday.. I'm excited to be getting my first fill!

Thanks so much for the info! I stick to my calories and portions. But I find myself hungry before my 4 hours over.
  17. Since my Pre-Op and my Post-Op I lost 35lbs. I'm on mushies now and I have gained 7Lbs. I am feeling down and like a failure. Please help me. I had my surgery on 11-26-2012. No fill yet am due for first fill on January 3, 2013. I'm so afraid I might gain all I have lost back before my fill date.

I know how you feel! I felt like this a couple of days ago thanks to my vet that had been banded for years that put me back on track. We have to eat our protein first then the other foods. Slider foods are like cream of wheat that is loose not thick it can run off your spoon, baby food, purée foods. An remember don't drink 30 to 45 minutes before your meal and 2 hours after. I too love this site being a Newbie takes time and commitment and encouragement from others that have been where we are now! I'm glad I did the band and I know you are too. We just have to listen, follow Dr instructions and walk walk and sip sip and chew chew little bites. One day we will look back and be Vets to help Newbies like ourselves. Have a bless day and don't worry you will hit your green zone it takes a while for some. I'm waiting on my first fill in January 3 2013, xoxoxoxox
