This won't help the OP since they are way past this stage now but for anyone new just reading - I just added a couple of tablespoons of whole cream to my broths. I couldn't stand the thought of "creamed" soups even strained but the cream gave the broths a richness I was craving.

I air pop a bunch sometimes and measure it out into baggies for snack. Nothing added so its fairly low in calories and does have some Fiber as others have said. Try a little and see how it goes. We are all different so always do what works for you.

There are soy chips. Also some crackers are not too bad calorie wise. There's lots of options for almost any food you want to eat. Make healthy choices and remember portion control and you can enjoy all types of foods. That might sound like a diet but for me with the band it's not.

What's in your lunch and/or snack bag?
blondegal_ replied to PrettyThick1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
lunch varies but usually leftovers, tuna fish, or a frozen meal. Snacks in the desk drawer include almonds, pumpkin seeds, Special K crackers, soy chips, air popped popcorn, beef Jerky, Protein bars. Sometimes I bring hummus or fruit if I've made it to the store. (Post op of four months) -
multivitamin
blondegal_ replied to TEAM SASHA PINK's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have the Opurity ones. I just break them up and then swallow pieces one by one. I don't chew them. Can't stand them getting stuck in my teeth. They are the most "complete" vitamin I found. -
I need support- im terrified.
blondegal_ replied to asquill17's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
How about getting your vitamins checked? Maybe you are lacking in something and because of being pregnant your body really is craving it. -
Do the shakes contain more sugar than you usually have at one time? I sometimes have a "system dump" if I take in too much sugar at once.
-
How bad? A lil extra creamer in your coffee or a pint of ice cream? I log all foods and just seeing the numbers helps me. I won't claim to be perfect. I've had a cookie, some cupcake at a bday party but I logged them and considered them a treat. I view this as my life, not just a program I'm on until goal weight. I think that mindset helps me-knowing day in and day out I need to make good decisions to be healthy. So think about what you've been doing and if you really don't think you can do it alone then you might consider talking with a therapist. We all have issues with food. The head hungry is a lot worst that the stomach grumbling.

It was good to meet you. Thanks so much for posting about the garage sale. We were pleasantly surprised to see the whole neighborhood involve. Good luck in your journey, Tara -
I have tried the cheese. I have put it with broccoli and brussel sprouts. I think it needs to be paired with something strong in flavor. It does have a unique flavor.

Still having your garage sale? -
Most people can eat anything/everything but just in smaller amounts and welled chewed. The hard thing for some is to eat healthy. No sweets, fried foods, etc. Some on the forum use myfitnesspal to log their food. You can search the posts and find where many have asked for friends to be added. Once friends, you can view others food diaries.

I've had to get steroid shots in the past for bronchitis/asthma. Is that what you mean? So hoping mine doesn't flare up. Was in an inhaler at this time last year.
-
I registered mine on the My LapBand website and now have a card with its ID#. That way if there's ever a recall on the band I don't have to rely on the doctor telling me.
-
No comment for the tea/coffee, but for the list voice. I've had this more than once and the last time the doctor told me not to talk for three days or I might cause damage. He said if I just had to talk do it as normal as possible. Don't whisper. He says whispering actually causes more strain.

How long should i take off work???
blondegal_ replied to manders80's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also had plication and a hernia repaired. I had scheduled two weeks of vacation even though I have a desk job and was very glad to be off that long. I'm amazed at those that say the were functioning almost normal by the end of the second day. Moving too fast or stretching would cause me such pain for at least five days. -
Today at work after sitting all morning I just felt the need to stretch. So I closed my office door at lunch and sat on the floor and stretched. And then I got up off the floor WITHOUT using anything to help pull myself up. Didn't grab the edge of my desk or the chair. I just got up. I'm almost down 50 lbs since 12/19 surgery and being able to move and walk more easily is just great. :-) Tara

What about when you fly internationally? All that not eating doesn't seem feasible.

Dearlh- Lol. I have miniature Fred Flintstone feet. I'm only 5'3" so they're just right for me.
-
Yay for you! But I hope this doesn't happen to me. I'm a 6.5W. If I shrink a size and I'll be in the kids department. Lol. But I wouldn't mind getting rid of the Wide.
-
Thanks everyone. So glad this forum understands the little things.

I found some soy chips that have some protein as well as Special K brand ones that have a lil protein. Don't have them often and limit to 100 calorie snack but I am at least getting some protein.

OP is newly banded. Does he even have a fill?

I use the Fage 0% in place of sour cream. So anytime I'm having Mexican food that might have sour cream on top I use the Greek yogurt instead. Also I use 1/2 mayo 1/2 Greek yogurt in anything I'm mixing up like chicken salad.
