weight loss has side effects
one gone dog replied to one gone dog's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
being a bandster couple has some real advantages, go out to dinner we share one meal, or an appetiser. when one says "im plugged" the other can truely say "i feel your pain", we understand the need to "drool" once in awhile, and we know what not to buy at the store,, like french bread or to much Pasta. but the most important one, in bed at night, we understand the noises from nowhere and down under. -

now thats a shame. Id like to remake my original point. your right in that it is a crap shoot in the end. but it can happen both in Mexico and in the usa. -

WOW! you saw all that and still went there. Both my wife and i asked for and were granted a tour of the facilitys. the pre-op , the op-room, post op and the overnight rooms. so you can say i did research that. and if i had seen ANY of that stuff i wouldve been right back on the airplane heading home calling it a short vacation. -

Erosion, The Real Facts

gee i never considered that during almost 4 years of research on the band. how long did you research you doctor ? i reasearched mine for two years talking with patients, doctors he trained, doctors hes worked with up here in the usa and talking with reps from inamed. "so keep that in mind OK!!" lets try not to make this personal, i do feel for all that have lost the band for one reason or another. If i lost mine i could deal with it, if my wife lost her's however, that would kill me because of what it means to her. -

Dont know why Cristan chose mexico but i chose Dr. Rumbaut because he's done almost twice as many as any U.S. doctor,or mexican doc. hes had a band for over 6 years himself and his training related to the band. Both my wife and i were self pay and could've chosen anywhere we wanted, even overseas. but we went with experiance. -
this is about the funniest thread ive read. I could think of a few folks id like to give this stuff to. but what i would like to most do with it, give it to my niegbors dog that is always on my property, then feed the dog some nice hot juicy cheesburgers from a little place called "dicks" in seattle. then run the dog home. almost forgot an order of thier fries, so greasy you can ring out 1/2 a cup of oil from one order.

1,165 views (at this time) 75 replys, could it be because it says TOPLESS in the title ? wich is kinda interesting considering the high percentage of women on this board. :guess

Erosion, The Real Facts

[quote name=DeLarla But for anyone to say they'd pick surgery in Mexico over surgery in the United States, where we have many highly qualified band surgeons THAT ARE REQUIRED TO FOLLOW STRINGENT MEDICAL REGULATIONS AND CARRY INSURANCE... Need I say more?[/quote] It doesnt matter what country you go to, what hospital you go to. the doctor can carry all the insurance he wants and follow all the guidlines and regs he wants. What does matter is his skills and .knowledge and working conditions. I have two family members that have almost died (one did and was saved by the nurses) by a doctors sheer stupididy. and i can think of many cases on the news where doctors screwed up. like leaving a retractor in a guy for almost 9 months. all right here in the USA. ive had surgery both here and down at the hospital san jose de montterey. all mine have been done by laparoscope and my best recoverys were in mexico. and having seen the surgery rooms ive been in,, id pick the hospital san jose over anything ive seen up here. as far as whats going on with these two docs and erorsions, ? not a clue. just my opinion. -
The gas isnt a problem, unless im right in front of someone (unless i want to clear a line) i just let em riiiiiiiiippppppppp. its the new and improved smell from smaller amounts of stuff thats killing my family.(and my dogs) i used to be able to drink a fair amount of tequila with no problem, now two or three shots and im hammered. :faint: I wonder if i can ever eat pickeld eggs again ? :heh:

Too much Morning Restriction Anyone
one gone dog replied to JAYGERL05's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Dont have a clue as to why it is some can't eat in the morning. I can only eat solids between 10-12 in the morning and fromm 4-7 at night. solids any other time can result in standing bent over and drooling like a wet mouth saint benard. -
"bomb sqaud, if you see me running, try to keep up" "cats, ANOTHER white meat"

sounds like you did what i did last weekend. ANNOYED YOUR STOMACH. I had a few bites of BBQ ribs and got a piece of meat stuck. it came back out but i couldnt even drink for 6 hours, and couldnt do solid "mushy" foods for a couple of days. let your somach REST for awhile (it was about 6 hours for me) then stick to liquids for 2-3 days. If you cant do mushy after 2-3 days, see your doctor.

Dr. Rumbaut has a web site that gives his bio. He did mine and i would recomend him for anyone. You will like your stay there.
