I liked p90x but didnt have the time for the dvds each day. Insanity was a better fit for me no eqipment needed shorter work out time in the beginning.

Happy New year!! Hope everyone is doing well. Today im 2 weeks post-op removed my steri strips, my large incision was not as healed as the others and really red. Scared me a little. My fh got me all bandaged back-up. Scale victory though down 15 since being banded.

I totally relate today my girls and I skipped going to the park due to rain. So we stayed in to bake. All the great smells it was so hard not to sample as everyone ate and ate so I opted for my sugar free jello pudding. hang in there my motivator is the scale. It keeps going down and down. I know they say not to be a slave to the scale, but I think in the beginning its important to see progress. Im here if anyone needs me for support. Only 4 very close people to me know about my band. Its nice to come here and share our journeys.

Must have for after surgery
FutureMrsH replied to Rn925's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thick socks or booties the OR and recovery areas are freezing. Sugarfree drink mixes and broth. A side table or nightstand next to your rest area to house all your goodies; water, chapstick, meds etc getting up and down at first is a lot of work -
Very normal. Im not hungry just the want. Want pizza and all the goodies here at work. Cooking for the family is hard. Its funny you dont realize how much you used to taste test while cooking, lick your spoon or finger. Its been tought im only 4 days post op and down 8 lbs since getting banded. My scale has been great motivation.

The gas really surprised me too. I was banded the 21st also.

My dr said at 9 days you can move up to mushies or puree food. Ei creamy soups blended, cottage cheese, mash potatoes hummus etc. Along with lots of fluids and high protein it should curb the appetite. Go to lapband.com there's recipes at every stage to give you a variety. Let your body heal. -

Keeping it a secret
FutureMrsH replied to sweetie__13's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I was just banded today and I have only chosen to tell 4 people non of them coworkers. I agree business and personal should be separate. I am I guess what some people would say at the lower end of needing WSL. Even at my group preop meeting other patients looked at me like why are you here. 2 years ago I lost a lot of weight on the hcg diey which slowly crept back on. All I ever hear is why dont you do diet again you looked so good even from my own mother who is not a skinny mini. Congrats and an applause to you for taking control of your heath and lifestyle to make it better. Don't give a hoot about anyone else cause at the end of the day ultimately you take care of you. -
