Might be a good Idea to call your doctor and see what they recommend
-
It's also can be a side affect of rapid weight loss
-
I'm in Aus so products may differ - my doc told me to take fibre but only BENIFIBRE brand as it is the only one that doesn't grow or something in the stomach. I had heaps of this and prune juice, it took 2 days of this but was regular after that

I can't feel mine but know its in exactly the same spot
-
I had it pretty bad until about day 4 or 5, on an off. I used Voltarin emugel on it which really helped.. Am in Aus so may have different product I am 2 weeks post op and have been getting it randomly when I've been overdoing it and straining myself.. Which is really weird because it is meant to be from gas pains.. Anyone else had this?
-
I never had to be on 'clear liquids' except whilst in hospital.. 2 weeks liquids only including 3 or more Protein shakes a day.. Even liquid yoghurt etc. I was also banded on the 26th and I go onto purée / mushies on Monday. So 2 weeks normal liquids, 2 - 3 weeks mushies then introducing soft foods and normal foods

Elodie.landerson mentioned them in a post on the 2nd or 3rs December. I was going to ask dietitian about this and more in mosay Elodie said: -Sweet Potatoes- Sweet potatoes unlike most other vegetables are higher in calorie content but are worth all of them. Sweet potatoes contain resistant starch, which produces compounds to signal to the brain to stop eating. The bulk in sweet potatoes fills the stomach so you feel full. Carotenoids in nsweet potatoes stabilize blood sugar levels and lowers insulin resistance.

Checking in at 228.2 lbs (103kg) from 235.9 lbs (107kg) a week ago. Down 7.7 lbs

Thanks! This is great

Day eight*
-
Exactly how I felt.. Try and get 3 protein shakes in i found that gave me more energy. It wasn't until yesterday (day 8) that I started to feel hungry between shakes.. I take this as a sign that the water and tea I'm drinking in between is slipping through easier as the swelling goes down.

Hi everyone I've been looking for good apps to use... So far I like MyDietDiary - it's great for tracking weight an calories. (I'm in Aus but think you can get this app all over) I am going to try the couch to 5k app when I can run too - it looks fantastic. Any other useful apps or websites you have come across in your journeys?

Suggestions For Fluids And Mushies
Eria replied to skuzzie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My nutritionist said to stay away from juice (even v8) anything with much sugar to keep your body in a state of ketosis (burning fat instead of sugars and easy carbs). I am 8 days post op and have stayed on 3 opti fast's a day so far and constant sips of water and tea - have been full on this so far and lost 4kg's since surgery. Starting to get hungry now though between 'meals' -
Hey everyone I had surgery on Monday and have been recovering really well.. Had gas pains, was a bit sore and sleepy from the anaesthetic. Last 2 days have felt great and probly been more Active than I should be.. I went to work today for a few hours, then I was baking cakes for an epic birthday cake - a lot of benign down and up. About an hour ago I had an aggressive stab of pain in the left of my belly like something is pulling. It is really sensitive and can barely sit down without agony and feeling like I have pulled something - and that's after prodiene forte. Is this common / should I just take it easy? Or should I be heading to a gp first thing in the morning (Saturday). Also the bruising has gotton worse around the bigger Bandaid ill try and add a photo - dont know if this is normal or i should be alarmed - my surgeon didnt talk about any of this! Thanks for your help!! E x

Sudden Severe Pain 4 Days Post Op
Eria replied to Eria's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks everyone - when I woke up the pain was completely gone and back to normal. My doctors offices aren't open on weekend and I don't think a gp will do much - so unless the pain comes back I will wait until Monday an call my surgeon then.. The bruising hasn't changed at all
