(ya wonder how I got so fat??) I already entered into my fitness pal 4 oz portion of chicken parm and salad that I will be intaking tonight .....So I am excited and READY TO EAT!!!! My fitness pal really keeps me in reality with food portions and caloric intake. Everyone enjoy dinner!! -

Tomorrow is my day for banding
**IP~LB** replied to George the greek's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Καλή τύχη να σας my fellow greek It is awesome being banded. All my relatives where in town this weekend and my mom made spanakopita, pastischio, baklava, lamb etc and I had only a small bite of the spanakopita and lamb and I was satisfied! It is the best thing I have ever done!! Let us know how you are feeling after surgery Yasou!! ειρήνη -
How well do you tolerate soda after banding?
**IP~LB** replied to PraisingHim's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doc told me never again to drink coke/diet coke. He said it can stretch the pouch and perhaps the band could slip, so to me in isnt worth it, at all. That being said I used to drink almost 12 regular cokes a day....to be honest I do not miss it at all. I feel fantastic losing weight and drinking water! I have done and will do exactly what my doctor instructed me to and will continue to have success with my weight loss. Good luck on your surgery!! Congrats -

Success feels like cheating
**IP~LB** replied to Ashleigh Childress's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Only 3 people in my life know. I tell people I am working out and eating healthier small portions, which is very true. Unfortunately people are very judgemental and think we are taking the easy way out! We all know in here that the lapband is NOT the easy way out and we have to work very hard at this. I know i do! Congrats on your awesome weight loss! -

It is sad, but we can't lose weight until we are ready. I have been to spas for 4-6 months at a time and lost 75-100 pounds each time, sadly I did gain it back. I think no matter what we do spas, dieting, exercise or even drastic surgery, if we aren't mentally at that point where we want to lose weight, we won't no matter what our consequences are. I hope the lady you visited will make it this time and I hope you encouraged her through this very drastic surgery she just had. Hope your wife is recovering well!

Have you ever thought about....
**IP~LB** replied to Creekwood's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah def some people don't get it. When I was in graduate school there was a very large man probably about 700 pounds. There was a thread posted on our main campus website how disgusting it was for this man to be going through medical school with everyone else and that how would any patient respect him. The posts got nasty but one post stuck out to me. a 5'6 girl of 117 pounds wrote. "It is simple Calories in and Calories out, work out and take care of yourself, there is absolutley no reason for him to be 700 pounds" If you don't have a weight problem you will never understand what we go through. People don't get even though you have WLS it isn't the end all, we still have to work at this. Still watching our "calories in and calories out" Some people really are ignorant. pfft!! I believe I am working much harder now with my new lifestyle change than I have ever did before my WLS. We have to ignore these people and do what is best for ourselves. Comments like these are exactly why I chose to only tell my mom dad and sister!! Good luck to you all and don't let others get into your head, this is our life and our journey!!! -
So happy to hear you are back on track!!! Also, thank you for the heads up on this pouch test! GOOD LUCK!
