I have thought about this for a really long time. I have been
fighting the scale now for over 40 yrs now. I have decided now that
the procedure is done laparoscopically and there are long term studies
out that I am going to do it. I have never had trouble losing the
weight, it just always finds me again. And I have figured out that
between Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Nutri-system, HCG, Nutra-shake,
Atkins, etc, etc, etc, I have conservatively spent well over $10000 on
dieting.
For the last year, I decided to eat basically what I want without
diet pills, stimulants or supplements and have been biking typically
65-100 miles per week. My weight has settled in at a svelte (drum roll
please) 205 lbs. My highest weight will never be revealed! At 5 ft
5.5 in, my BMI is 33.6 which puts me in the morbidly obese category. I
want to take action before I develop any collateral damage to my
health.
I have a friend that had the sleeve done 3 1/2 yrs ago and she is going to be my buddy. I am also hoping that my
sister will be having the procedure soon and we can take this journey together!
