    Wisconsin: Where are you??

Congratulations on your expected surgery date. This is an exciting and nervous time for you. I'm sure all will go well. I had my surgery in 6/2004and I'm still working on reaching my goal. It is a long journey that works on your body, spirit, and mind. We're all here for you with questions.

    Wisconsin: Where are you??

Sorry, to say, no I have never attended a support group at Elmbrook. I feel that I get so much information and support from the lapband site. I'm not sure if there is a fee or even when the meetings take place.

    Wisconsin: Where are you??

I am from Milwaukee Wisconsin and had my surgery 6/28/04 in Brookfield @ Elmbrook Memorial Hospital. The same place as Margo. My doctor is Dr. Manifred Chiang. Dr. Chiang and Dr. Burhop work out of the same office. I look forward to hearing about your lapband success. I haven't posted very much on the site. However, I'm reading frequently of what's going on with other bandsters.

    rocky roads

my life, my life it is so difficult at keeping up with a daily exercise routine. I get so discouraged at times. I work out 3 to 4 times a week and the scale doesn't move. I try really hard. I'm wondering is there anything over the counter that I could buy to assist me with my weight.

    Same Dr's office

Hey Carmen, I believe our doctors are at the same location. You have Dr. Burhop and I have Dr. Chiang. I guess we have a couple of things in common. Same surgery & same dr's office.

    Dr. Chua

Darcy, Hey I know Dr.Chua as well. I initially was going to have him do my surgery. Unfortunately, he wasn't in my network. I've been to his office. I do understand what you mean about his staff. Other than that, Dr. Chua was very soft spoken and informative person. I first saw him at a presentation on 7/03. I meet him again in his office in Feb. 04. However, my co-worker had Dr. Chua as a surgeon. She was banded in Nov. 03. In fact, I spoke with her today she tells me her skin is flabby. She needs to get more exercise in to tone up those muscles.

    Vegas in Octoger

Hi there Ladies, I would love to go however, I was just banded on 6/28/04. I want to look as good as you ladies are. So I'll have to put things on hold until maybe next year when you all, do this set up again. It sounds as though you all are all planned with this trip. I'm sure everyone will have a fantastic time. Oh Yeah, on another note I've never got on a plane before either.

    Where is everyone?

I will meeting Dr. Chiang in May 2004. I'm really exciting about the process. I initially started out with Dr. Chua, but some missed information didn't fly with the insurance company. Therefore, I have choosen Dr. Chiang. There are not very many people voicing their experience on this web site. You know when you go to the information sessions the Dr.'s always say how many procedures they have done. That being the case why aren't there more participants on the lapbandtalk web site telling their story. We'll when my time comes, I have no problem telling the world of my ups and downs. I think I would be a little less afraid of the procedure if I would not have support --like this web site. I just recently found this web page. I've only read about 2 Wisconsin patients of the lap band procedure on this web page. I'm glad to hear things are going o.k. for these 2 ladies.
