Protein drinks
TerryBelieves replied to TropicalGirl1205's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I had to order mine from amazon and paid $13 shipping. OMG so worth it. I can drink the 11 oz in about 20-30 mins. Love the taste. I couldn't do the bariatric advantage after my first week and half post op...so been doing the atkins carmel latte. which was doable, just not enough protein. Then I was doing the breakfast essintials and adding benaprotein to it...just tried my first premier this morning and loved it. I am 4 1/2 weeks post op. -

I am 4 wks out. The first few days are the worse. It does get better everyday. I was only nauseated 3 times. the first was when they gave the the liquid pain meds. 2nd was when I tried beef broth( will never try again) and 3rd time was on the way home ( I think I got car sick) I wet my face and dosed off till I got home, about a hour ride. I have a full prescription of anti nausea meds I have never even opened. Good luck with your journey! Happy sleeving:) -
I couldn't do cream of wheat...I did blend a lot of things. but my favorite is taco bell refried beans and cheese with mild sauce ....they sell it by the can at Wal Mart and I bought the taco bell resterant sauce. and added 2% cheese. yummy. I also liked the small curd low fat cottage cheese with a little black pepper on it. Mashed avocado was a change. I blended up tortilla soup OMG it was divine. Good luck. I got to start soft foods yesterday. Its so nice to chew chew chew.

Slow Users: More Calories = Weight Loss Could be a coincidence...?
TerryBelieves replied to DanaInNewOrleans's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well, I haven't lost any wt in a week or so. I am 4 weeks out and have hit that dreaded 2 week stall. I don't think I am getting enough calories. So maybe I should up my food. I started getting my long walks in a couple of days ago and nothing on the scale. As a matter of fact I was up 1 lb today....not giving up. Just going forward. My Protein isn't quite up to 80+ the last couple of days have been 50 - 60 gm protein...fluid intake is great. I started soft foods today so hopefully my protein will increase. Any advice is appreciated. -

January 2013 Sleevers?
TerryBelieves replied to LenaVSG's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just went out for my first long walk since surgery. I posted it on mmw. It was beautiful outside. I would have been doing this earlier. I live by a national park and they have been having controlled burns and burning red cedar....not good for walking outside. 1.30 miles in 22 mins....love the mmw app. -

Progress - 4 Months Out
TerryBelieves replied to barbi1281's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
congrats!!! You do look awesome! I am almost 4 wks post op. this past week I have been up and down on the scales. I need to learn not to get on the scale except on mondays and call it good. Monday I get to start soft foods and can't wait. I cant wait to share my before and after story. -
I blended just about everything I cooked my husband. Some good, some not so good. I did try to stay away from high fat foods. I cooked with the 98% ff soups. I tried blended smoked chicken with bbq sauce. It didn't make me sick, but set on my stomach like a brick. Blended lean meatloaf with a little added ketchup(no high fructose corn syrup) was pretty tasty. I stuck with lf cottage cheese for breakfast because it has 14 gm of protein. Taco bell refried beans and cheese, yummy, they even sell them at the store by the can.
