  7. Pixie Dust, I am 51yrs old and will be 52 in April. I had my surgery Jan 28th 2013. Best desicion I have ever made. I wasn't scared of the surgery I was scared of the after surgery nausea/vomiting. That worried me the most. I had none other than 2 X's in the hospital. I have had no issues. I was off work for 13 days. I have a desk job. I am loving my sleeve. At 6wks my BMI dropped out of the morbid obese range! Good luck, I hope you get to do this asap! Nice to meet you!

    Problem Foods?

I am on soft foods and not really having a problem. While on puree I tried some smoked chicken breast pureed with bbq sauce. I was able to eat it, then it set like a brick in my stomach. I didn't get sick, but I sure didn't like the heavy feeling. Tonight I went out to eat with my husband. We had mexican. I ordered a chicken enchillada with the sour cream sauce on the side. When it came out I scraped the salad off the plate. I scraped the chicken out of the corn tortilla and poured a little sour cream sauce over the chicken. I ate small bites with a spoon. It tasted awesome and I had no problem. I might of had an ounce of chicken, very little cheese and sauce. Good luck. I haven't had any issues. I normally measure a 1/2 cup food and most of the time I can eat all of that and then I am done.

    How did they close you?

I had 2 stitches where my stomach came out and steristrips over my other 5 sights. Nurse took them off at my 1st post op appt. and took out my 2 stitches....I can feel stitches under the skin on the smaller incisions..kind of creepy feeling.
