I had the same and I am now a week and 6 day. It took me ten days to feel better. Now everyone's body react different but it took me ten days. Hang in there and congratulations to u!

What does a slip fills like? I hear people saying their band moved or the pouch was gone and had to have another surgery. I am curios to know what it fills like. I was banded on 11/26/12 and to date I don't fill like I have any restrictions. I hope my band hasn't moved.

I am only a week out but I've got to know, it is so hard for me to get 64 plus ounces of water in. Again, I know I am just a week out but I feel full all the time. I am forcing in what water I do drink per day which is usually about 24 - 32 ounces. Does this get better? Is anyone else finding 64 ounces or more hard as well?

Get a Wii game console with the Wii fit board. You will have everything the gym has to offer in the comfort of you own home. Its the best investment I ever made. IRS a workout with f-u-n added!!!! If not that get a few work out videos.

A week today and I am still here when I definitely thought I was dying this whole week!!! I made it yay!!!!

It doesn't take long to make one remember the three C's. I was eating today, finally solid foods and all of a sudden I felt like I was dying. The pain in my chest was so unbearable. All I could do was pray and spit the food out I had in my mouth. Now looking back at it all I can do is laugh. I was so excited to be able to finally eat that I forgot to cut AND chew. I was eating as if nothing had changes in my life.! I felt every piece as it went down. When I finally felt relief, I asked my hubby, did he not see me dying!! Lol!!!! When I remembered the three c's, I digested it all without a problem. Lesson learned and it didn't take long!!!!!!

Thanks guys! You were helpful! I will be meeting with my surgeon next week about this. Now after hearing you all talk about the Nsaid drugs I am on celebrex which is another Nsaid drug and I can't imagine life without it due to Rheumatoid Arthritis.

I didn't know we need to stay away from ibuprofen. I took one just today. I am concern now! Please can someone explain why?

I am also having problems urinating. Its only been three days so I'm hoping it goes away but I have to sit a while just to pee. Uuuggghhhhh! Its horrible!!

Thanks guys I also wondered the same thing. Its been three days since my surgery and I am hurting so bad. My shoulders are killing me and my chest hurt with gas I am taking gas x but I am having very minimal result. Yes I am walking a lot but the pains are not subsiding!

Yay, I had my surgery today! I was so scared my doctor wasn't gonna be able to do it because my liver didn't shrink enough but boy was I wrong, actually I lost 14 lbs!!!!!! I wasn't able to do the liquid diet due to other health issues so he told me to do the low Carb high protein diet, and it payed off! He told me my liver was perfect! Yay me!!!! Now the journey began and I am super excited!!!!!

You are all correct, my surgeon told me the reason for that is, we all have just had a surgery. There is swelling around the stomach which make the band fit tight as if there was a fill. That's why they schedule us 2 weeks out for the fill, hernia or not and yes I had my hernia repaired and oh what great relief. One pill down TEN more to go!!!!!

Thank you all so much! I am excited for you all as well. Nothing can describe the relief I felt when I woke up to hear congratulations from my mom. I knew then the surgery was a success and I am on my way to a new person physically and mentally! Again, thank you all so much! <3

I am having my band on 11/26. I am a little nervous about not loosing enough weight. I started my 10 day liquid diet on Friday. I followed it to the T. Three shakes a day. Well I am lactose intolerant as well as Whey intolerant so today I had to call my doctor. He told me to add protein and nonstarchy veggies in the place of one of my shakes and even two of them if I have to. All of a sudden I feel that the weight l am losing may stop or slow down and I won't be where I should be before my surgery plus Thanksgiving is coming up. Any advice, I am trying to take it one day at a time but I don't want to arrive to be told I wasn't where I should be.
