hi all its been along time since i've been on and it looks like you are all doing so well im proud of you all. I had my first fill just over aweek ago and have felt no restriction (had 1 ml fill) my Dr said if im not happy to go back i am going to but just wondering how much do you normally have injected when you have a fill. Would it be too much to ask for another 2 ml do you think.

All i can say is you go girl !t has been the best three weeks of my life that i can remember. i have been big since i was little i have a pic i show friends of when i was 3 years old and ask them how old they think i was all reply over 5 and i had the fattest face i've seen i have put up with it for long enough my health was starting to suffer (fatty liver, borderline dieabieties (spelling) high blood pressure, heart burn the list goes on. Stick to this site though i have learnt so much from these friendly people on here. Goodluck with it all and hope to hear a report of how well you are doing when you get back from Mexico.

My band is also 4 cc's so i am assuming it would also be the Australian standard its intresting to find these things out maybe i should have done it earlier. This site makes me feel like i really know what i'm talking about when friends and family ask me ?'s as i just let them know of the information i have learned on here very informitive, so glad i found it. Although i think my mum has had enough of me ranting at her about it as soon as i get off the net i ring her and tell her what i have learnt i think it is good for her to know what is happening or going to happen to her little girl

I can't tell you much but i know i sailed through the surgery all the nures said they were amazed at how quick i had recovered. I felt discomfort in my left side where the port was and counldn't lay on left side for 2 weeks that is now better. I do remember about an hour after the op i asked my mum if they had put the band in as i felt slightly hungry and not much pain i was expecting to be very sore and sorry for myself, i was ready to leave hospital the day after surgery but had to wait for the dr's ok. Goodluck for your big day and i wait to hear how you went It's a life changing event for the best

Thanks for the support, Hawaii sounds like a great idea my sister and i had plans to go to Bali this time next year with my new body but Hawaii sounds like just as much fun, It would be a great advertising shot for the lapband to see all of our sucess's in one picture

Hi all that read this I have been banded for 3 weeks and lost 17.6 pound and feel great that means i have broken into the 200's. I'm really happy with myself, i go for a check up with my surgeon in 3 days hope all is well with me on the inside as i feel it is. I am soooo happy i had the lapband it seems to have improved my confidence already and love the fact that i put my clothes on and they are feeling bigger i don't stretch my tops anymore

Hi all, I'm a new user of this forum, It was only two weeks ago i had the surgrey by Dr Wertimer in Tasmania Australia, i have already lost 6 kilo which works out to be around 10 pounds (i think) in your terms i don't know the ratio of kilo and pounds but i know it's good (it took my sister seven months to loose 6 kilo the hard way) I am excited to have found this site so i can share my experience with others. I have coped very well i have had no vomiting at all, all my cuts have just about healed and am walking 20 - 30 mins a day which is a big thing for me, my start weight was 143kg (290pounds guessing) none of my friends know my weight as i feel to ashamed to tell them. But i have just about had enough of soup only two weeks to go until i can start on the soft food.

Hi im new and it has been abit worrying what i have been reading, my Dr hasn't really explained anything to me it wasn't until 3 days ago i realised i had no saline in band ( had surgrey 2 weeks ago), i have to have liquid food for 1 month (not like your 2 weeks) i read the lapbanding book and haven't gotten half things explain happen to me like no xray to see if band is right no diet advise except a vague photocopy that said ring the hospital kitchen for more info ( and if you knew what the kitchen ladies in this hospital are like you wouldn't ring them either) and then all the media hipe about the band i get a phone call at least once a day with people seeing people dying from this, people bursting from this yada yada yada and all in all its getting scary im glad i found this site it has helped me i was wondering why i am feeling hungry more often now i know thank you to all that have inputs to share with us new banders.
