Thanks Alex for the tip. I will take your advice. I was restricted earlier this week and still adjusting.
It's great to talk to others who know what's going on.

I have other questions. I think that the PBing has subsided. Now with another question, after eating I not only get the hiccups, I get a lot of saliva in my mouth. If I swallow the saliva, it makes a knot in my chest and is very uncomfortable. It's not vomit, just thick clear saliva. I know it's gross, but that's only way I describe it.
What do the hiccups mean? Each time I eat, I get the hiccups and cannot eat anymore.
Need more advice.
Thanks,
Carolyn

I went for my 4th fill and I'm at 2.5cc. When I went for my 3rd fill, the doctor gave me 3.6 and I couldn't keep anything down, even Water. I went back in 2 days and he unfilled 1.00 cc. When he did the unfill, I felt quite good. Now that I'm at home on the day after, I can only eat about 1-2 oz. without PB. Anything more, I will need to bring it up. I feel this is the sweet spot, but I want to eat just a little more,(at least 1 oz. more). I want to know will the band expand eventually to allow me to eat a little more, or do I need to get more unfill. Please let me know as soon as possible!
Thanks,
Carolyn

I am so happy because I have been waiting to be banded for over a year. As you read my stats at the bottom, I have been monitoring every ounce.
I just had my first fill on Monday, April 5 (2.5 cc). I didn't think it was restricting me because I never felt full until yesterday. I also found out I lost weight! (6 lbs. in the last 2 weeks) Yippeee!
My surgery was outpatient and I was back to work in a week. I've had no problems at all and thank God everyday that my appearance is changing. My friends and co-workers are constantly complimenting me on how good I look. My knees don't hurt anymore and I can breathe when I walk as well.
This is the best money I have every spent.
Happy to be banded!

I go to Dr. Sabharwal and Dr. Kaniewski in Alexandria. They are a husband and wife team and are great doctors. If you send me a private email, I will send you their phone numbers.

Symptoms of Band Slipping

I had a fill in January and ever since, I have been PBing often. During the night, I have to spit constantly. Is this a sign of band slippage? If I do nothing about it, what are the long term effects. I really don't want to have surgery again.
