    AFLAC?

I called AFLAC. I definitely won't get the surgery benefit. I may get hospital confinement and short term disability if I can prove the procedure to be medically necessary.

    AFLAC?

Anyone have a case where AFLAC has paid them anything for their surgery? It looks like all bariatric procedures aren't covered...but could I still get my hospital benefit? I've never filed a claim and don't really know where to start.

    June surgeries!

I'm losing my mind about the fact I plan on going back to work a week post op. My surgeon wanted me to wait two and financially I can't. My fiancé and I broke up at the end of March and paying everything on my own now, I can't take the time off work. Now I'm paranoid I'm doomed to have a complication and get stuck out of work and get evicted or something.

    June surgeries!

  5. I'm worried about this too. I have surgery this coming Thursday. In my 6 months if visits with food logging, more protein, less junk etc I have lost two pounds total. I was 277 my first visit, been as high as 282 and as low as 272 and I've been stuck at 275 since my last appointment 3 weeks preop.

    Sleep apnea

I was wondering this too. I only got my cpap this past winter. And now that the weather is warm it's absolutely miserable. I've been less than compliant. If I wake up a few hours before I need to, I take it off and go back to sleep. My sleep apnea is very minor luckily.

    Things i will not miss

I won't miss wearing pants in the summer because shorts ride up from my thighs rubbing together. I won't miss hardly fitting in stadium seats or amusement park rides. I won't miss only being able to to dishes for ten minutes at a time because my back starts killing me. I won't miss sweating from running the vacuum. I won't miss having to contort myself into a yoga like position to paint my toes. I won't miss my CPAP machine. I won't miss being embarrassed to use my gym membership. I won't miss worrying if I'm going to blow out the inseam on my work khakis. I won't miss having to slip on my shoes because my stomach is in the way of tying them. I won't miss being 29 and wearing mom jeans.

    June surgeries!

I'm lucky and do not have a diet either. Just the day before I can only have clear liquids and nothing after midnight that night. I just finished my last shift at work before I go back a week after my surgery. I'm getting emotional. One of my coworkers was in tears so excited and nervous for me. I can't even describe how I feel right now.

    AFLAC?

I should specify I don't have the accident plan. I have the medical one. Pays for preventative exams, surgeries, hospitalization etc.

    June surgeries!

I've never been skinny. Single digit sizes is probably my ultimate goal. My skinny was 175 and a size 14. And I thought I was fat. Now I'd kill to have that body again!!!

    June surgeries!

I'm 5'5" was 277 at my first appointment and my doc said my goal was 145. That should put me in a size 8/10 and I will get there! I'm a 22/24 now and 275.

    Progress pics... :)

Great job! My starting weight is about the same, goal is 145. And my surgery is next Thursday. Glad to see what I may expect and at what time frame.

    June surgeries!

I've been trying to eat the food I have in my house that will go bad before I can eat solid food again. I've been trying to do some Slimfast shakes to get used to liquid meals before my protein powders come from Amazon. I have snuck in some goodies from McDonalds and Starbucks tho. And ice cream. And I'll probably go out to dinner Monday or Tuesday since I'm clear liquids Wednesday and surgery Thursday! This has all been really emotional for me lately. I'm starting to kind of freak out.

    June surgeries!

One week from today!!! Eeek! My surgery actually got pushed back a day from the 5th to the 6th because my surgeon got injured so now his partner is doing the surgery. I haven't been sleeping. Probably nerves. Ugh. Hope it isn't like this all week!!! I still have four days of work!!!

    June surgeries!

I want to actually like to go to the gym. I don't want to have to squeeze in and out of roller coaster rides. I want to be able to shop at the mall. I want to be able to buy cute underwear. I want to weigh less than the guys I hang out with. I want to get off my asthma medication. I want to get rid of my CPAP. I want to be able to cross my legs under a desk or table. I want to wear a dress or a skirt without having to rub a Gold Bond stick on my thighs. I don't want to be out of breath from carrying groceries to my 2nd floor apartment.

    June surgeries!

Talk about last minute freak out. My surgeon hurt his back and can't operate so his partner is taking over. My surgery will now be a day later on June 6 and I won't meet the surgeon until morning off. Luckily, he's done several of my friends surgeries so I know I can trust him!

    June surgeries!

  23. My doctor placed a Mirena. Was the only option she gave me. I've had it almost a year and have had zero problems. Also, no real period. Just a little crampy for a few days and spot for a day or two. Only downfall is my skin has been awful without the hormones. I'm broken out like a teenager!
