Hey Guys, I've been distant on this site for a while. I've been dealing with so much stress lately, I feel it's taking it's toll on my band! I was banded May 3rd of this year, I am down 20 lbs...that's it! I feel I should be losing much more than this. I've lost all motivation due to everything else going on in life, it seems excerising just gets away from me. I started at 316 lbs and am barely holding onto 296, i'm so frustrated I could scream right now. I really have no one to turn to talk about it. I go in next week for another fill, i currently have 7.5 cc in a 14 cc band and I feel absolutely NO RESTRICTION! It's so annoying.. when I get my fills I feel restriction for the first couple days (Probably from being swollen), but after that I feel nothing. I can eat more than 1/2-1 cup of food... I don't really know where to go from here. *sigh* Thanks for listening.

Thank you all so much for your replies. Its nice to have somewhere to go to chat about this. I got a fill, I'm at 8cc's now and boy can I feel it! Tho the scale hasn't changed, my eating habits have. I have cut out bread and pastas from my diet completely, for one because I just simply can't eat them anymore and two because they are my weakness. Also, my sugar intake has been lowered. I noticed when I'd get stressed or anxious I'd lean towards something sweet to soothe the craving. A lot of my calorie intake was liquids... coffees, koolaids, sweet teas, so I've stopped that as well. I drink water and green tea only. When I get the craving for sugars such as koolaid I drink crystal lite, its really helping! I'm still at a stand still, the scale just won't budge, but I haven't lost faith completely. I haven't tried journaling, I'm going to check out the myfitnesspal app. Thank you all again, it really does help to hear everyone's thoughts.

Hi ladies, I was banded May 3rd and I thought i'd never survive the full liquid diet. I kept asking myself "why did I do this to myself!?!", but I survived and I am excited I chose to do this. Hang in there. Like everyone says, everyday gets better and they truly do. My port is still a little sore when I turn an awkward way, but it's all been worth it. Down 16 lbs post-op. Getting my first fill in 2 weeks.

It could be the vitamins. Personally, I have a hard tine taking vitamins because most make me vomit and/or dizzy. -
Surgery this morning

I've been using my pillow to support my tummy. And sugar free popsicles have been heaven to me. The muscle where the port is still hurts to a point but nothing I cant handle. I was banded friday and back to work today. Goodluck! -
I was banded Friday May 3rd and It seems every time I move my right arm or stand up and down the muscle the port is sitting on tenses up. Sort of burns, once I relax it goes away though. Is this a normal feeling or should I contact my doctor? Just curious.

I was banded Friday May 3rd and ive been living off sugar free popsicles, sugar free jello, some broth and water. Still sore 2 days later, but the pain subsided quicker than I was expecting. Good luck to you!!

Counting down the days until surgery. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I have been ready to start my weight loss journey for quite some time and am ecstatic that I've only 4 more days to go! Woohoo!

I am just looking for ideas as far as the pre-op diet goes. My BMI is 52 so the doc wants me to do three weeks of the pre-op diet. I am looking for different ideas so I don't get bored. What did your pre-op consist of?

Pre-op diet. What protein shakes did you drink?

Hey all. I've been searching for a doctor who is in network with my insurance (ANTHEM PPO) and was able to find Dr. Feiz in Valencia. I'm going on the 28th for my seminar and find myself a little nervous. I've tried every diet fad out there and I get minimal results and gain the weight back plus some. I am crossing my fingers double time praying all goes well with my insurance and the procedure itself, I feel this is my last hope. What has been your journey, do you have any words of wisdom you can send my way? Also, are there any questions I should ask the doctor when I go in for the seminar?? I want to make sure I cover all basis.

I think you should attend a lap band seminar and speak with a Doctor about pros and cons. It is solely up to you to make the choice of getting the lapband or not. Like stated above, if you've tried everything and nothing has worked then it's possible the lapband will benefit you. I am 25 years old and have decided to get the lapband due to the fact that I have tried EVERYTHING! Fab diets, weight watchers, phentermine, the list goes on and on. I've lost weight with these programs, but it never stays off. The lapband is something I've thought about for 2 years, I am just now starting my journey. Good luck!

Congratulations! You look amazing! I'm just starting my journey, any tips for this newbie?

Thanks ladies for the advice. It really means a lot! I will definitely make sure I'm comfortable with my doctor. I tried LapBand VIP first but my insurance was out of network.
