I got banded in 2007 and only when I'm overly restricted and water can't go down do I NOT feel hungry. I'm hungry all the time! I got anther fill last week, @4cc, and was doing great until the weekend. I'm tired of this battle that I keep loosing. I know I'm supposed to follow the guidelines, lots of protein, low carb, Lots of water, and excersise. Trust me when I say "been there, done that" but I can't perminantly live without breaking my diet. I'm human! It seems like when I stop excersising, my body goes into emergency "get her fat" mode. is anyone else failing at this like I am?

Well, how did it go? So proud of you for doing it!!!

I'm just like you. This band is not working for me like it is for everyone else. I've been filled up to 11cc and followed the proper diet but once I fall off, it's tragic. No one with a busy life can really maintain this perfect high protein, lw carb plan without falling off the track. Don't feel bad about your situation. Hopefully when it clicks with us we will be able to lose but until then, don't feel bad bc you are not alone. I wish others would speak up and not be ashamed.

I had my band placed 12/4/07 and I'm not sure it works. I'm either to tight or not tight enough. I've never found that sweet spot everyone talks about and I've only lost 20lbs total. Just last week I started another diet and ate carrots. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE!!! I vomited my brains out and my stomach swoll shut. I'm tired and discouraged. Anyone else out there with the same problem?

Okay, I have an appointment today w/my Dr. for another evaluation. I hate this guy bc he makes me feel stupid bc I don't climb mountains like he doesn't but the hell w/ him, this is ME! I'll keep you all posted but I have a very important question, what diet works for you? Low carb, fat free, weight watchers, etc....I find myself eating slider foods anyways so I need advice please. Today is a new beginning and I want to make it happen. Btw, thanks for your support, I needed it even though it hurts sometimes to hear.

I have told only close family and friend that I know won't judge and so glad I did. I had my surgery 5 years ago and I only lost 20 lbs. I'm still over weight and it's humiliating. People are not kind and will judge you and bring you down so if I were you I would keep it a secret. When I get stuck I just tell them I have bad alcers. Good luck.
