No I didn't eat! My doc has a rule of nothing to eat 4 hours before to a fill and no liquids 2 hours before a fill. My appointment was at 10, so I just played it safe and went on an empty and dehydrated (lol) tummy! I drank 2 cups of water before leaving. It took forget to get it down because I was scared (i wasn't taking baby sips,i was taking preemie sips, lol), but now that I know, next time won't take as long to get the water down!

So, today I had my first fill and it was a lot easier than I thought out was going to be! My doctor has me on 3 days liquids,3 days soft foods and then regular food! What are the different diets your doctors have you on after a fill?
-
I remember reading somewhere in my doctor's office about a diet to be on before a fill. I knew I should have picked up the paper, but I didn't. . . now I can't really remember what it said. Are any of you on any special diets before and after a fill? if so, what was it? Today is Saturday so I can't really call my doctor's office for advice when my fill appointment is on Monday morning! :-) I know the Bandit B****es are going to really get me. . . but I love their advice and I'm ready for it! Lol

Ok, so I started Couch25k on Tuesday, which means that today was my second day. I'm curious a to why my tummy feels like I did an ab workout? All of my muscles are kinda sore. . .not hurting, but sore for sure! I was released to start the program on Monday, do I don't think that I'm moving too fast. . .but somehow it feels like I got in an ab workout while running! Is that strange?

Great! I was starting to think maybe I had incorrect form and was messing something up! Thanks!

Yay for you! I have my first fill on Monday and I can't wait! Good luck to you!

Unjury.com . . . Their chicken soup is awesome, also!
-
Yeah, that's what my doctor says! I bought the unflavored Unjury and I just toss a scoop in just about anything I eat (soup, potatoes, tea, cream of wheat, crystal light etc.) so it's easy for me to get my protein in that way! I was on shakes prior to surgery, so after the surgery I was tired if them and had to find another way. Plus, adding protein to actual food is more filling that just a drink, which goes straight through your band. It keeps you fuller for longer!

I know that they say it takes longer to heal after lapband if you had a hernia repair. . .but how much longer? Tomorrow will be 2 weeks post-op and my back is giving me the BLUES! I'm in the car waiting on my boys to get out of school and I'm in some pretty awful pain!

The November 'band'wagon!

Recommendations: Syntrax Nectars in Double Stuffed Cookie (taste like a Cookies and cream shake. . .no after taste!) unjury unflavored- you can mix into anything (drinks, Soups, parties, mac n' cheese, name it you can mix it in) Doesn't change the taste our texture of foods. . . Way way to get in Protein without even thinking about it! BTW- Syntrax Nectars have 25 calories, 0 sugars and 23 grams of protein per serving! Unjury has 90 calories, 0 fat and 21 grams of protein per serving! -

The Slim-Fast, Boost, Ensure, Adkins, and Muscle Milk have too many calories/grams of sugar and not enough protein! Unjury and Syntrax Nectar brands have really high amounts of protein and little to no calories/grams of sugar! And they taste AWESOME! -
