I feel the same as u elleG. I have been at a stand still on weight loss for 2 weeks now. I hear it is normal though. It is a bit frustrating though. -

Feeling nauseous the past few days. No matter what I eat or drink. No vomiting just no desire for anything barely getting 20-30grams protein. Feeling sad. -

I'd love to have the name of the protein water mix. The protein shakes taste ultra sweet to me and with only being able to eat 2 oz., I'm having trouble getting my minimum 60 in. The unflavored unjury does not go great in water.

Yes, I have. I think it has to do with positioning during sleep. I'm 19 days out and still can't sleep through the night. I have not been able to comfortably sleep on my side. Which sucks for a side sleeper. It does get better day by day. -

I have my post op follow up with the surgeon tomorrow. I had initially taken 3 weeks off of work. However, I hope he will approve one more otherwise I am only off one more week. Reason being I can not get any decent amount of sleep. I am a side sleeper and do to discomfort and pain, I can not sleep well. Since surgery I noticed that I get pain in my hips and thighs while lying on my back in bed. This was not an issue before surgery. I can sleep 2 hours at a time tops. Also I have had a horrible sore throat since surgery and it hurts so much to swallow and still need some assistance to shower. I can't wait to get back to normal. -
10 days post-op and I finally pooped!!! Lol it feels like such an accomplishment.

Have you tried to just cut them in half and swallow them with water? I thought I would have to crush some of mine but have been able to take them as usual without crushing them just have you cut them. I too am still on full liquids but the pills dissolve so quickly once they go down. So they shouldn't harm you. -
Good luck. I wish you the best. Nothing to be scared of. When you wake up after surgery you will feel such relief.
-
Me too. I guess you are right, it has to be due to the liquids. I guess shouldn't be concerned too much yet as I can pass gas but no real urge for a bm.

I was just wondering on average how long it took everyone to have their first bowel movement after surgery?

Anyone post-op taking the gas-x strips... Are you taking the recommended 2 strips? Or you just taking 1strip?

I had my surgery yesterday and doing well so far. I do not have much pain until I get out of bed and today I was able to go full liquids today. No nausea. Did get dizzy a bit today but I think it was because I over did it showering so they had to wheel me back to my room. Doing fine now. -
Got to be at the hospital for surgery in 4 hours. Wish I could get some sleep in but wide awake. I guess it doesn't help when you've been working until 2am and not going to bed until 430am the past few weeks. I wish everyone luck today :-)
