Im having my surgery 6 am Monday, and my Mother just informed me that she won't be offering me any kind of support whatsoever because she disagrees with the surgery because she thinks it's too risky, and that I could lose weight on my own. Her words were so hurtful, and this happening one week after my boyfriend broke up with me, and surgery in less than 48 hours is just so painful and overwhelming

So, my surgery is Monday, and the medical team claims I only need childrens tylenol for pain after surgery? Are you kidding!?!?! Gimme some vicodin! Makes no sense to me

Im just curious..do you really have to sip super slowly? What happens if you need to down some water after a workout?

I feel like the fact that we are doing this around the holidays (my surgery is Monday!) Makes this experience even more empowered and stronger. People don't understand whats it's like to be in our shoes, so maybe we can teach them the holidays are more than a day to stuff our face with the toxic food that got us here in the first place! You can do it!!!!! -

So, my boyfriend dumped me yesterday, and Im having surgery in 7 days! Im totally devastated, and he was the one who was supposed to stay with me in the hospital and take care of me when I came home. I am beside myself, I think Im going to lose it. Help!

So, my surgery is in 7 days, and Im going to have just the band, and now Im being told about plication for the first time! And told it minimizes the negative effects of the adjustments. Now IM FREAKING out!! Do I need that too?!?!?!

Im in Chicago. He never had an issue with my size, but I found out he was cheating.....Im just so hurt, and I don't want to be in the hospital alone...

Thank you. I am beyond devastated. I have to stay overnight in the hospital. I don't have kids. He was so supportive until now, and he just completely abandoned me. It's emotional enough going through this surgery, and now a painful break up on top of it is way too much for me to handle
