I was banded in Oct 2011 and also set my goal of 100 pounds in one year. Guess what? I did not make it. I stil have 15 pounds to go and my Dr has said that this is always the hardest pounds to lose. I swear my body is just being stuborn and when I get ready to go the Dr it says "oh no we need to lose!" and Uusualy I do, only a couple of pounds but it is a loss. Most people do not make goal in one year so you are right on track. Take your positves and pat yourself on the back because you are doing a good job!!
If you are exerciseing you should not have any problems running a 5k next spring. I ran my first one in Aug of this year (2012). I was extremely slow but I did it!! You just have to start slow by walking and moving up to the running part. A good program is the C25K. Free and easy to follow, check it out.
It does not matter if you have to walk part of that 5K just do it. You will be so hooked and thankful that you did.
