    Slips

Thanks for your reply guys I was just curious as i'm nearly a month post op, and my appetite has gone back to normal.. I'm chewing really well and eating slowly, but my portion sizes are still a problem.. I'm going for my first fill on Tuesday, hopefully that will fix things! I just don't want to cause a slip by over eating, but i'm not getting full on small portions.. Hope the fill does the trick Thanks again for your replies

    Slips

Hi guys.. Just wanted to ask, is it possible for the band to slip without one knowing, or does it come with some sort of pain and discomfort that you will definitely know it had slipped? Thanks in advance

    Pain At Port Site?

Hey.. I'm 2 weeks post op, and I still have some pain around the largest incision where the port is.. Is not too bad, but I can still feel it.. it does get better though, but slowly.. I'll keep you posted though
  4. Hahaha I might need one from time to time.. Glad I can count on my new banded friends
  5. I've been a good boy since I received all your replies guys.. Thanks for the support!
  6. Thanks for all your encouraging replies people!! You are all right, I was just being naughty.. I don't have a problem with mushy foods at all, I just tried solids once and it went down fine, so I continued with solids. I didn't realise the risks associated with eating solids too soon.. Will I know if the band has slipped due to my stupidity?? I'll go back to puree like a good boy. Thanks for the encouragement
  7. Great reply.. That's exactly what I needed to hear! I'll go back to puree thanks for the kick up the butt that I needed
  8. I was told to do 2 weeks puree after my 1 week of liquids, but I haven't done this as I found I was able to eat solids straight away.. my first fill is Dec 4th... We'll see what happens.. Thanks for your reply
  9. Hey guys.. Hope everyones well and losing weight! I had my surgery 12 days ago, and was only on liquids for the first week as instructed.. Since then, I've got my appetite back and have been on solids since.. I didn't do the puree thing.. Is this normal? I'm able to eat all foods and significant portions.. Do I just need a fill?? Has anyone else gone straight to solids a week after surgery? Thanks in advance

    Man Vs Food

Hey guys.. I'm 6 days post op now, and all I've been doing for the last 6 days is watching Man vs Food, Fast Food Mania and Epic Mealtime videos on YouTube while drinking my liquids lol.. Somethings wrong with me yeh?
  12. I'm 5 days post op.. Yeh gas is probably the most annoying thing.. Just take it easy and let your body heal.. Tell the anaesthetist to go easy as well.. Mine gave me a throat infection from the incubation tubes.. But otherwise, things are going well.. I don't regret it one bit!
  13. I say go for it.. You'd rather spend this money now to get fit and healthy, so you can enjoy your future with your children and be able to play with them and raise them and enjoy your time with them.. I borrowed $12,700 to pay for my surgery as I don't have health insurance.. I'm a social worker so I don't make that much money as it is.. I also have a child on the way lol.. Don't worry bout the money, being healthy and enjoying life with your family is much more important.. Go for it!!
  14. Thanks for your reply guys.. Yeh Dr said it was badly infected.. On antibiotics now.. Hurts like hell.. hopefully will get better soon.. I'll try the salt water thing.. Thanks again guys
