3 months post op-what is everyone eating?
banditchic replied to yologirl's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I'm a little over 3 months out. For breakfast I have an egg with laughing cow cheese. For lunch I have a Quest protein bar, and dinner is meat and veggies. If I get hungry between meals, I'll have some yogurt and fruit. -
My first 6 weeks after surgery was like that too. I hated everything one minute, and was so emotional the next. I'm 3 months out now, and everything has seemed to level out. The first 6 weeks are tough. Hang in there

FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
banditchic replied to DivaNurse's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hang in there. Your nut can get you back on track I was sleeved on 2/18, and have done pretty good until yesterday. My boss brought me a big piece of cake with buttercream frosting. I should have thrown it away, but instead I picked at it until I ate all of it. Then for dinner we had pizza, and I felt that old mentality of "well you've already screwed the day up" creeping back into my brain, and I ate a piece of pizza I went to bed stuffed and so mad at myself. Today is a new day and a fresh start! -

Hi Crystal. Have you had your surgery yet? If so, where did you have it at? I had mine at Wesley. Great to hear from someone close to home -

Sleeved on 2-18 too. I'm down 46 lbs total including pre-op. Our stats are pretty close. You look great! -
I just bought sugar free brown sugar & cinnamon and salted caramel. Can't wait to try them.

How does it feel to be full?
banditchic replied to gibson_girl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For me, it's almost a feeling of pressure right above my chest. It feels different than the "full" feeling before surgery. -
For me, 6 weeks was a huge turning point. I got my energy back, and was able to eat easier. Hang in there, and remember that it gets better.

When I was banded they told me I wouldn't be hungry either...
banditchic replied to marfar7's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 2 1/2 months out, and I get hungry. I wish I didn't But luckily, it takes a lot less to be satisfied. Unfortunately, I do get ravenous if I go too long without eating. But I don't require volumes of food to satisfy. I'm 43 lbs down. -
Congrats!!!

Sleeved 2/18 down 42 lbs...Our stats are almost identical. And yep, should be exercising more too.
-
Great job losing 18 lbs. I was sleeved 2/18 and down 42 lbs. My biggest complaint the first 5 weeks was how tired I was. I wanted to take a nap every day. But feeling great now!
-
Totally. I think that's normal in the beginning. hang in there.

Submitted to Cigna now the wait begins
banditchic replied to sissytx's topic in Insurance & Financing
I have Cigna too. I was denied the first time around, but approved shortly after. I started at 213 with one comorbidity, high cholesterol. My surgery was 2 1/2 months ago. Best wishes. -
Don't give up if you meet all of the qualifications. A good majority of "us" were denied at first too. I was, but I kept fighting, and I am so glad I did.
-
Good for you!!!! Can't wait til I see 56 lbs gone! You're doing great!
-
My surgeon prescribed 2 large bottles of liquid hydrocodone for me after surgery. I must admit that they made me sleep like a baby, and I used up every bit of it even after the pain was gone...oops!
-
Exactly...same here
