I have the same issue band and insurance thus the reason for the revision surgery, however I am told that the band may have caused a hernia and that could be what is causing complications if that is the case and there is a hernia we can bypass the insurances requirements. I'm am starting the process for a revision this month but I've had a lot of complications with my band 4 years now and I can't live the rest of my life with it but also can't live the rest of my life without having something there. What I like about the sleeve is the hormone that makes you hungry is cut out. I've gained my weight back and it's possible that the band has caused a hernia which has possibly been what's causing this my complications causing my stomach to prolapse or I should say my pouch. My friend chose to have the sleeve procedure and it has been very successful, I look forward to having the sleeve procedure done I cannot wait to get this band out Good luck 2 you! I don't know if it is just me...but has anyone ever felt a burning sensation on the inside of your stomach around the band area...just wondering? I am 11 months post op and have had no other complications.

Hi i was banded on November 30th I am down 55lbs...I feel pretty great I have had days where I struggle, gurrrr... my weight loss has slowed down at this point, my problem is exercising I have a mini gym in my house I need to get the motivation to use it more than once a week! Lol anyway i hope you continue the great work!

My doctor told me that the carbonation will cause your pouch to stretch out...

I know i feel the same way right now actually lol.. but i try so hard not to think about it but damn it is hard. it is about time for my protein shake so i am going to go ahead and sip on that. We are going to town and my brother in law and husband are hungry i told them dont not eat because of me just pick a place i dont like or doesn't sound good to me lol ha ha....i try to remember mind over matter...and say it will get easier...

My friend got a call from the hospital after getting her lab work done that she had to get to get back to the hospital A.S.A.P. immediately and she had to have someone drive her she thought what the heck could be wrong? She felt fine healthy as could be. Anyway her potassium was so low the doc said she could of had a heart attack at any point. ( she is a gastric bypass patient) anyway i would contact your doctor just to be on the safe side;) good luck!

Hey guys i was banded on the 30th as well, as far as gas goes i have the same problem i feel like a huge burp wants to come out even when i am talking sometimes and it just goes back down and it is painful. The incisions are much better although my belly button and one in the middle of my chest is kinda sore. As far as the gas i lay down and use a heating pad on my chest and behind my shoulders and neck it really help me to relax which helped the gas start moving;) oh the family and food.. well i was having a hard time wondering why i was thinking about food i cant eat i.e. the food we see on commercials.. and i got mad at myself for thinking about it, i was doubting in strength feeling my mind and my band haven't met each other yet, i haven't got sick from anything yet which is good but i was like how do i know i am full from the 3 oz of food i just ate sounds weird but really i dont know what i am supposed to feel like it doesn't feel as though i have a 4 oz stomach and my body is doing new things and so i am pushing this phase and just going with it. I live with my husband and his brother and i envy the fact they can eat what they want and have thought wish i could have 1 day but in reality that is how i got where i am at 2day and even though i have thought that i wouldn't eat their stuff lol also we cant hide from food and it certainly isnt gonna hide from us so for me i chose to defeat the food and eat with the boys just off my menu( not sayin it is easy)but i look at it like this for the first time i know in a month or even a couple of week my clothes will be alittle loser and i will feel so much better and by that time i will have gotten past this stone on to the next i have decided not dwell on what i dont need but to look ahead at what i do need and next thing i know it is tomorrow. Everything is trial and error we are humans. And if you are in doubt call u doctors office they are there for you even if u just need to ask if u measure the cream of wheat 2oz dry before cooking or 2oz cooked.( i had to). I so know the feeling and this is not gonna be the easiest road lots of bumps but try to keep looking at the payoff better health and much more happiness.....

I was banded on the 30th so still very new, but wanted to let you know i have gas in my chest it sucks i will be talking and here it comes and it hurts or when i get a hiccup;( i use a heating pad across chest it helps although dont completely cure the gas put it does help to relax me and at some point when i relax i will pass the gas lol;) ( know what i mean ) but it truly makes me feel better ( the heating pad).. if u have found anything else the works by all means please let me know..best wishes

Hey guys i just got banded on friday as well...how are you guys feeling? Emotionally and physically? I am mentally overwhelmed i believe i am over thinking things way to much. Worried about vitamin intake knowing i am getting what i need to worried about the fact i wonder what that new chix sandwich at wendeys i see on TV taste like even though I DONT WANT IT..i just thought i wouldn't even think about it that much after the band.. i did have 1 oz purred peaches with 3 oz of dannon fit and lite greek yogurt for lunch and 1 oz pureed peaches with pureed cottage chez for dinner and of course lots of h2o and my protein shakes.... physically i am feeling pretty good a bit sore around belly button and other incisions i have been real fortunate not to throw up and have been able to keep everything down although i can feel gas in the chest area and wish it would just go away already lol.
