Sleeve to Bypass revision- throwing up food every time I eat
tankheadmommy replied to Ontheroadtoslim's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I'm so sorry to hear you are having so much trouble. I have not had any issues with protein, since I have not had surgery yet. I use a flavorless protein powder called genepro. It actually is tasteless. I blend it with my hot herbal tea and almond milk in the morning. Maybe it could work for you. I bought mine on Amazon and got it same day, since I have prime. I hope the Dr figures out what's going on and can help you. -
I'm so happy for you. Your surgery date came so quick after your approval. I look forward to hearing more about your recovery.

So glad you're recovery is going well, minus being awaken at 1am. I'm sure your sleep will improve once you are home.

Should I retire before surgery?
tankheadmommy replied to Apple203's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I would just check the health coverage you will have after surgery. It can be more limiting and require more deductibles and that could cause financial difficulties if you are not prepared for it. Good luck on making the right choice for you! Sent from my SM-T818T using BariatricPal mobile app -

December 2017 RNY
tankheadmommy replied to Road Runner's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you! I know you will, you are an awesome supporter already on this forum. I have started to settle down and just focus on one day at a time. I was so anxious to get to the 21st, that it consumed my thoughts. At this point, I just want to enjoy the journey before, during, and after my surgery. -

Thank you! This forum is so different from FB. I'm so glad I am a part of it. I can't believe our dates are coming up so soon. I am trying to just take it one day at time so I do not over think the process. To be honest, my biggest concern is if and when to tell my extended family. -

Lap band To Sleeve Revision
tankheadmommy replied to SKF's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
My lapband was removed in April and I am getting the gastric bypass on 12/21. I ended up with reflux and a small hernia from the band. I feel better since the removal, but I do not want to risk more issues by getting the sleeve. My bmi is around 39 now, but it was above 40 when I started the process. I am happy with my choice to get revision surgery. I'm getting closer to the date and I have a few nerves like everyone else. I think I would regret backing out at this point in the future, so I'm going to go forward to improve my overall health. Good luck with making your final choice. -

Right now...it is ok for you to feel like you are. You had a date and you were ready to go. It is so sad that someone else's mistake can make such an impact on someone else's life. I do not have any miracle words to give you for encouragement (I wish knew what could make a difference and make you feel instantly better). Just know we are here to listen and try the best you can to enjoy the holiday's with family and friends. ((hugs)) Sent from my SM-T818T using BariatricPal mobile app
