So after being in severe pain for almost 2 weeks, I went to my doc to have my port site checked out. Sure enough, just as I had expected, I tore the muscle and scar tissue around my port from a PB episode. I am a new bandster (banded 9/25/12) so I haven't even had a fill yet. I am on some pain meds now but need to take it easy. Easier said than done bc I have an attention thriving 18 month old Mama's boy. Has anyone else torn any muscles around their port? If so, how long did it take you to recover?? Any advice?

I'm not cleared by my surgeon to start working out yet, but just curious, how quickly did you see results with exercise mixed in? I get my first full in 2 weeks and then can start working out! I'm sooooo excited!

Profile Pictures Are Deceptive To Me.

This is me at about 285 (right before banding). I was banded a month ago and am down to 265 (no fill yet). I carry my weight well but it is in my hips/thighs and since having a child, in my belly and sides as well. We are all beautiful, skinny or not. -
I was told just walking for 6 weeks, but walk a little further every time. I'm cleared for exercise in 2 weeks can't wait!

I'm about a month post op and last week I got some food stuck and PB'd. When I did so, I felt a sharp pinch by my port area and it hasn't gone away. It's very painful to move around so I try not to flex that area at all and hold it when I walk. Is this normal?? I hope I didn't tear anything... If so, what are my options to have it returned back to normal? My doc's office is closed today due to the hurricane help??
