Hello, I recently moved and had to find a new bariatric clinic. I needed to have some taken out because it was too tight. I feel like they punctured my lapband. I had 1 cc taken out and now I'm at 6.5. I wouldn't even think about eating bread before because it always got stuck. I was able to eat 3 thin crust pizza slices the other night and 2 beers without feeling any discomfort. What is the best way to find out if they punctured it and,in general, who pays for this mistake if I need it replaced? . Thanks!!

I had my surgery on 10/24. Went in for my first fill today. All went well, except I forgot to ask the dr if I can play volleyball again. I'm a hard core player who dives on the floor. Even though at 40 yrs old, i know i really shouldn't but its hard not to. I wonder if it will hurt my band??

I banded on 10/24 and was wondering when is it ok to lift? Well, I did do some lifting today because I had to . I live in Montana and we are getting a blizzard. 4-6" today, 8-11" tomorrow and 1-2" on Saturday. So needless to say, I had to shovel snow before it builds up. Oh and I get to do it by myself because my husband is deployed with the Air Force. Good times...not. I took it easy but still felt it pull a bit by the port. I hope I didn't screw anything up

I thought I was told only decaf coffee and teas. I use sugar free creamer and sugar free flavored syrup from Sam's. I've been without caffeine since my 1 week preop diet and I banded on 10/24. Don't really miss it, but wanted to make sure I could have the decaf stuff. Thanks everyone for the info

I am eating soft food. For example, today, I ate half a pancake and egg beaters. Stuff like that. I can honestly say that my surgeon didn't really explain why the strict diet after the surgery. I basically got a piece of paper and that said soft mushy food for weeks 2-3. Thank you for the info on why all the restrictions -

Hello, I was banded on 10/14 and I've cheated a couple of times. I don't go in for my first fill until 11/27. . But I feel healed and able to eat regular food but in moderation. Am I hurting myself by doing this? Thanks -

From maddysgram: 8 Can Taco Soup" that I have fallen in love with. It could be use for any type of diet, from liquid or puréed to regular. 1 can black Beans drained and rinsed 1 can pinto beans, drained and rinsed 1 can chicken broth 1 can enchilada sauce 1 can corn, drained and rinsed 1 can diced tomatoes 1 large can chicken (I used two to increase protein) 1 packet taco seasoning I cooked in the slow cooker for the whole day. I put it in the blender for the first day after a fill and ate it all chunky after the liquid phase. I did nutritional info on it through My Fitness Pal. It has about 200 calories in one cup but it provides 20 grams of Protein when 2 cans of chicken are used.

I was banded on 24 Oct and today is the first day I started feeling a bit human again. So much gas pain and nausea :/ I have lost 13 lbs and a bit concerned its too much too fast. I'm just not hungry because I stay nauseous. I have followed the diet to a "T". But I'm more worried about having no energy. I am pretty much in single parent mode because my husband is deployed for a year with the Air Force. Not fun by myself.

Thank you for the awesome ideas! Sounds much better than baby food!!!

Any tips on what are good choices for "mushy" foods. My nurse said baby food is a good option. I was banded on 24 Oct.
