That's amazing! Good for you! Keep up the good and hard work! Adrianna - Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk -
I am a month in a half post op and am feeling amazing. I have lost 31 lbs since my surgery and 54 with preop. My NSV occurred while talking to a coworker. I'm a very handsy person when I talk... The bracelet that I got 3 years ago for valentines day and had to make my husband take back to add links so it would fit came flying off while I was talking. I didn't even care that I almost lost it, I was so excited that it was to big. I'm on the next link and can still slip it on and off. It feels so good! You can have anything that you blend to the consistency of baby food. Refried Beans, creamy Soups and yogurt are good to have. You should never feel rushed at your doctors office. Take your time and talk to him about all your concerns and thoughts. Adrianna - Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk -

I went for my month check up and was really excited. I was banded 12/21 and since preop I lost 18lbs and 22 since surgery. I feel soooo good and the doctor said I didn't need a fill. How many of you have lost a significant amount of weight without a fill? Adrianna - Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

I don't have a plication. I also have 10.5cc band and feel enough restriction not to need a fill. I'm down 22 lbs since 12/21 and feel satisfied after 1 cup of food. Adrianna - Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

We are both doing awesome and definitely band sisters! I would love to go as long as I can without a fill. I know everyone is different but my doc said he has patients loose 100 with the band alone and no fill. Good luck on your continued loss! Adrianna - Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

I'm a month post op and have been doing great. I haven't had fills yet but feel restriction so I always make sure to eat good. I was wondering if anyone has had problems with flat bread? I found one called Flat Out with 90 calories and 9g Protein. It's 100% whole wheat. I was wanting to make pizza, using it as the crust. Any advice or other options or do y'all think its to soon for flat bread.? Adrianna - Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

That sounds really good and very healthy! Going to try that. Adrianna - Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

That's a great idea! My kids would love that. I have to try it and the rounds will be easy to proportion. Adrianna - Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

Thanks! I have been on solids for 2 weeks and have tried chicken, salmon, tilapia and turkey ground meat and haven't had any problems (thank goodness). I want to make a pizza with mushrooms and turkey pepperoni which by the way is delicious. Well it is a learning process so I gotta try and learn! Adrianna - Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

Well I love those single packs but I eat them at lunch and don't want to eat them at dinner too! Lol Adrianna - Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

Some times I'm short on time! I have 4 kids and they are all very active. I am 5 weeks post op and have done really good with weight loss. I plan my lunches every night but am always rushing around by dinner. Is it okay for me to have a Smart One once in a while? I came to a Notre Dame football party and all the food looked sooo good! I'm 3 weeks post op and I'm in the last leg of my mushies. I had a small serving of avocado and was happy with that alone..... Then I wanted to try a hot wing very badly. I took 1 good bite chewed it up, sucked out all the flavor and then spit it into my napkin. It was a weak moment but I stopped myself by not swallowing. I've done so good, I've lost 24 lbs since my surgery and 43 lbs since I started this journey. Is it bad to chew up and spit out? Adrianna - Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

I had been craving them too. I told my husband that I was going to get chicken breast an pour buffalo sauce and dip my pieces in ranch. That should satisfy me. Adrianna - Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

Thanks everyone for sharing your chew and spit experiences. I feel better knowing I'm not in the boat alone. Adrianna - Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

Two weeks post op - can't get the calories in
azuniga5 replied to Jewelsm1127's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too was banded 12/21 and don't take in a lot of calories. The most I've taken in is 500. I drink plenty of water and take vitamins but I'm just not that hungry. My doctor isn't to worried as I am still healing. I have lost 20lbs since my surgery and 15 preop. I get 3 meals in and get a satisfying feeling. -
Infected stitch/5 weeks out
azuniga5 replied to JerseyShoreDisneyDiva's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 3 weeks out and just seen the doctor for this. He did say it wasn't uncommon but to make sure to clean it everyday with soap and water. He told me not to cover it unless its soiling your clothes. 2 days have passed and it looks so much better and discharge stopped. Just take it easy and remember we're still healing!
